This place is awesome. Went for the day. There is a walking path that takes you to the highest point in the island, and its high!. We saw seagulls with their baby chicks and all kinds of beautiful plants and flowers. There are bathrooms and water fountains. if you want to stay there is a camping site for which reservations... lovely place, good facilities. Watch out for seagulls. If you want to avoid the nudist beach check the signage carefully.

I've been several times to Cies. If I'm at Vigo during the summer time I'll definitely will go there for a day (weather allowing!). There are ferry boats from Vigo, Cangas and Bayona and the trip last aprox 30 mins. Cies is only of the most beautiful places...while approaching the islands you can perfectly see the gold sandy beach that... More

We visited this island on our first visit to the Pontevedra region and cannot recommend it highly enough. We didn't have pre-purchased tickets and were bombarded by staff when we tried to buy them, but once we got to the island we were very impressed. Beautiful white sand beaches, clear blue and green water and lots of wildlife, this was... More

Its my second time to the islands and nature is even better, thanks the good nature protection the Park system does. The only thing i really didnt like this time is the new quay in concrete, i loved much more the previous wood platform. Cies are considered to have one of the best beaches in the world , so for... Drove to Cangas for the ferry, nicer than from Vigo with easy free parking. Cheaper to book on line 10 euros return. Outward trip goes via Vigo so 45 minutes to get to Cies. Return is direct to Cangas 20 minutes. Island just as described with lovely walks and views and endless beaches and turquoise seas.

Best beach I have ever been to. Just gorgeous. And some great hiking trails as well. Would highly recommend as a day trip or as a camping trip for a night or two.

The Cies Island is nice to walk around, with very good views and a pristine beach. For me, a bit overrated though.

One of the most amazing beaches in the world, regularly identified among the 10 most beautiful beaches by any guide. You need to take a boat from Vigo or Baiona to get there, but it is definitely worth spending a day here. Be aware that there is a limitation of the number of people which can be at the same... Spent the day here with my boyfriend - really unexpectedly stunning!! We took the ferry from Vigo, which was about a 20 minute ride. We left at 8am and returned at 5pm. They have a lot of trails for hiking and a camp site, as well as a few restaurants, which is nice! We did the hike up to one... More
