Our Family visit was unplanned; we just turned up and were warmly received. An extensive wine tasting ensued - we were offered a tour of the winery but declined. For the price of 6 Euros per head we worked our way through an extensive range of wine ranging in price from around 5 Euros a bottle (available at many Cretan... More

My family and I had an incredible time at the Dourakis Winery! We were graciously accommodated even after our hasty, last-minute online reservations and were even upgraded to a more extensive tasting. There wasn't a single wine we didn't like and the setting on the patio was beautiful. The hostess was incredibly helpful and kind, as was the owner! I... More

Popped in following a day trip on the off chance of finding some better Cretian wine. Our family was made to feel very welcome and our children were well entertained by the owner stacking wine corks! We tasted 6 wines and bought 4 - thoroughly impressed. Had we more time on our holiday, we would definitely have booked to come... More

We arrived a little late for our booked tour due to getting lost, however our guide was extremely kind and was able to work around other tours. The experience was excellent, our guide was very warm and welcoming, encouraging us to ask any questions we wanted and very friendly to the children. We saw the wine bottling process, traditional wine... More

Today we visited the winery and were given a very enjoyable and informative tour by Antonis, the owner and son of the founder. We learned about grape cultivation and selection, wine aging and how sparkling wine is made here. Got to tour the extensive cellar and of course we tasted some excellent wines. Definitely worth visiting and easy to get... More

My wife and I were fortunate to be recommended to visit the Douraki winery. Andreas Douraki built this place from scratch with the best machines/material available and spared no expense. I had found his wine before in a great Xanià restaurant and was eager to see where it's made. We were given a tasting of 5 different wines and they... More
