We booked online for the tasting plus lunch. Our guide Helen was fantastic, really knowledgeable and held the interest of teenagers and old soaks in our party. The meal was really excellent and we're looking forward to the wine we bought- much better value than Heraklion airport so buy when you're there.

Having spent the first ten days of our holiday depleting Cretan stocks of the Dourakis range, we decided to visit and see where it all happened. As a large group including three children under 10, Helen managed the children's demanding questions very well (and indeed one of the party who works in the wine trade asking lots of questions too).... We went there without knowing what to expect. Hellen, the host, knew what she was talking about and you could tell that she was attached to the place and the Douraki family. The homemade goat cheese was like nothing we had experienced before and the wine delicous as well. If you go to Crete you HAVE to go there. Cheers.

Myself and three other friends stopped by the vineyard on our way back from a days clay pigeon shooting. We hadn't booked but we were made more than welcome with a simple tasting of this wineries fine wines. We were given an excellent description of the different wines tasted and a history of the winery and its production. This is... More

Visited the vineyard today (19th July 2014). We turned up unannounced. There was already a wine tasting lunch going on. Helen, the ex-pat Brit welcomed us in & deftly juggled doing a wine tasting for my wife & I as well as the people having their wine tasting lunch. We were made so welcome. It felt like home. We sampled... More

We found the Winery almost by accident - their road signage is very good. We were made most welcome by Helen on our first visit, enjoyed a tasting, and then booked a lunch/further tasting. The wine is extremely good, and all the food was made by the wife of the owner, and was absolutely lovely. A very good visitor experience... More

Stopped in on our way back from imbros gorge. The setting is lovely and Helen our host was friendly and knowledgeable. The cretan white and desert wine were gorgeous. Definitely a must visit if in crete.

Probably me before our latest trip to Crete...we spotted this place on the road at Alikampos, on a north-south trip from Almyrida, where we were staying to Chora Sfakion, and wanting some wine for that evenings dinner, thought we'd check it out. We met Helen, an ex-Brit, who suggested two bottles of their white for quaffing purposes (which were delicious),... More

My husband and I stopped at the winery on our way back to Chania after hiking the Imbros Gorge!! We had not booked a tour or appointment, and simply dropped in on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only guests and were promptly greeted by the owner. The location is beautiful!! We sampled at least seven wines, and were given... More

Small winery surrounded by beautiful scenery. Excellent value for money, though we paid €50 in taxis there and back but it was worth it!! Great staff who really seemed passionate about what they do. Got to taste 7 wines, mostly white but there was rose, red and dessert wine too. We had some food and ended up buying 4 bottles... More
