The Islands of Calaguas is beyond imaginable as at the moment for me. I know Philippines have many beaches and places to visit that we can be proud of but this is beyond expectation. I used Peñano Travel and Tours (look for it in Facebook or contact directly the very environmental, mountaineer, kind, and ever reliable tour operator Euphi Peñano... More

I might be exaggerated but this is one of the best beaches I've been to. I've been to Boracay and Calaguas is way better. Travelling almost 10 hours from Manila plus almost 3 hours boat ride was so worth it. Less crowd, almost fine sand, prestine water, far from civilization, perfect getaway for people who are looking for secluded beaches.... More

Staying in the town of Labo for a while, I took a ride to Paracale port, from there a boat - less than 2 hours to Mahabang Buhangin in the Calaguas Islands. the Beach is a very beautiful. all along the beach far enough from the water line there are a lot of huts style accommodation options with or without... Best place to relax and bond with your family and/or friends. That's the advantage of having no electricity and signal; back to basic; pure bonding!!! No hotels/inns. Only cottages for eating. So in short, you have to sleep on the tent. Camping time!!! :) Activities: Camping Swimming Trekking Beach Volleyball Kayaking Island Hopping Things to Bring: Camera Extra Batteries (Powerbank... Travelled here solo, no particular itinerary, no bus reservation, no contact number of boatman. People in port just helped me to find a boat which is ready to leave and agreed to share for the rent which is okay to me. When our boat docked in Calaguas, I just sighed and said wow. The beach is blue, sand is very... More

Slightly develop Island from Paracale Camarines Sur where I experienced to sleep in tent, no power supply, no signals at all, limited potable water, limited foods to buy just need to have cook service contract, 2 hrs boat drive fr habitat communities, no concrete structures only tents and bamboo wooden cottages and yet.....the beach is perfect with its clean, clear... Kiss: Exploring Calaguas Island is budget-friendly (like I spent more or less 2500 all in), remote (I mean no electricity and uses generator, no cellular signal, not crowded, super clean, super great beach, serene ambiance, and friendly locals. Exciting boat ride Kick: It's quite from Manila. Like more of less 6-hour bus ride, then another more or less 2-hour boat... More

Super beautiful! I've been to many beaches in the Philippines and this is, by far, the most beautiful. You'll never forget the fine white sand, the tranquil atmosphere and the breathtaking view especially in Balagbag Island (view from the top of the hill). Afternoon is the best time to be IN Balagbag. You'll also enjoy their Mobile Bar (if you... More

No doudbt that Calaguas Island is one of the best beaches in the Philippines and probably in Asia, but it's ongoing commercialization is a threat to its raw beauty and serene environment. The travel time from Manila could take you up to 10 hours including the 2 hours boat ride and believe me it's all worth it! We've been here... More
