No doudbt that Calaguas Island is one of the best beaches in the Philippines and probably in Asia, but it's ongoing commercialization is a threat to its raw beauty and serene environment. The travel time from Manila could take you up to 10 hours including the 2 hours boat ride and believe me it's all worth it! We've been here... More

Calaguas Island is a MUST SEE. When our boat made a turn to reach the island, we were able to catch a full glimpse of the shore and it was so beautiful! The boat was still moving, but everyone stood up and was ready to jump in the water. HOWEVER, before you get to enjoy this unbelievably gorgeous and pristine... More

Travel is really an effort since you need a 2-hour boat ride before you can reach the shores of Calaguas Island. But when you get near the shore, you'll surely say it's all worthy. Turquiose water is calm, you'll set your foot to a long stretch of fine white sand, the whole island is peaceful and quiet, nothing fancy, just... More

3 hour boat ride from the port of paracale. There is an LPA when we travelled here so we already expected that our boat ride will be a wild ride...true enough..we were welcomed by enormous waves... but we survived...sadly some of our bags got wet..we forgot to put them in big plastic bags for protection of getting wet.. my friends... This is Calaguas Island with pristine powdery white beach found in Daet, Camarines Norte. Compared with Boracay Island, this is even more beautiful since it is not commercially occupied by various establishments and hotels. You will only sleep in rented tents or barracks. It is reachable by 6 hours bus ride from Manila (off at Daet town proper), 1 hour... More

This is Calaguas Island, Daet Camarines Norte. Pristine powdery white beach still unspoiled unlike Boracay. Take-off point is Paracale for a 2 to 2:30 boat ride to the island after a 9 hour bus ride from Pasay to Paracale bus station. Activities like snorkeling, fishing, island hopping, photography (daytime & night time) are the things you can do aside from... More

Of all the beaches here in the Philippines, Calaguas Beach is definitely one of my favorites. I even love it more than Boracay! It's crystal blue waters and white sand is just amazing.... I really love the camping experience. I'm just afraid that someday it would turn out like Boracay... It's actually happening when some people bring in the loud... More

Powdery sand, clear water. I went there during the holy week but I didn't even notice that there are a lot of people in the island. That's because of the huge beach front. I hope the island stays that way, no electricity, and not yet polluted. Go here during the summer season because the waves can be pretty tough during... More

I have no words to express how beautiful calaguas is. We took a road trip from laguna to camarines norte and it was a long trip. The boat ride was also 1.5 - 2 hours (mild - moderate wave seas). But once at calaguas, everything was worth it! White sands, clean waters, unspoiled shoreline. Food was great. Tour operator (pendz... More

Best beach i've ever seen so far. Very white sand and crystal clear water. A bit far but it's all worth it (2 hour boat from the town). There is one resort at the of the island but we chose to camp out. There is a local store near the shore and a water pump there is no available source for... More
