Calaguas Island is better than any other resort. We spend 1 night last June 2014, with families. It was beautiful island except be ready for mosquitoes and small ants. Maybe the area we went "Waling-Waling" is not the same where Mahabang Buhangin is. Next time, we'll stay at the beautiful nipa hut instead at the tents.

Tired of the commercialised beaches, this one is for you. Getting there can be a challenge however once you get to Paracale it becomes easy. If you want to stay a night before or after there is a small hotel in town CM Hotel, go over the bridge, take the left turn and it is above the CM shop on... More

If you are looking for a place like Boracay but less parties, people, noise and pollution, better head to this beautiful island. This is not yet fully developed because it has no electricity yet and it will take you a 2hour boat ride going there. You can contact Mr. Noli Pajarin, he works with the Tourism and a local as... My friends and I went to calaguas before summer ended. It is a 2-hour boat ride from vinzons port. But you can also come from paracale. Upin reaching the Mahabang Buhangin beach, u will be amazed by the fine white sand similar to Boracay island. there is no current or phone signal. You have to camp if you want to... More

Me and my friends went to Calaguas Island last summer. the place is just so amazing. the beach boasts of clear blue waters and off-white sand. peaceful, serene, beautiful. I was so awestruck when I first laid eyes on that island. the 2-hr boat ride was worth it. There are no hotels or rooms of any kind. please bring tents... More

Chill and beach-bumming weekend with high school friends, 6 of us, spent in this pristine island. U'd love its uber soft and white beach, I'd rate it higher than Boracay's and Caramoan's, there is no trace of shells/stones u'd think it's all made up - but hooray it's not! Not to mention the very clear water! We purchased a weekend... More

I been seeing a lot of college friends sharing their vacation photos on their fb accounts and became suddenly interested. It's summer after all and I was a bit depressed during that time. Feels like I wanted to go somewhere and unwind. I was like begging my office mates to come with me. We had little preparation. I asked my... More

I dare say this is singularly the most pristine beach I have thus seen by far. The journey was long but your sojourn will get its reward and then some. About three hours from Tigaon to Daet then two more hours by boat, your weariness will pay off as your eyes will feast on paradise. On a clear blue summer... More

Travel time was really exhausting. We came from Manila and it took us 9 hours to get to Paracale. Maybe because we keep on asking our driver to stop multiple times as the journey to the port was very tiring. Then another 2-hour boat ride from the port to the island. As soon as we saw the island, we all... More

If youre thinking of a summer destination where you can experience green pristine waters and powdery white sand...then Choose Calaguas. Land travel was about 10 hours and boat ride was 2 hours. It is advisable you schedule your travel during night so you will not feel the discomfort of long hours of ride. Best thing about Calaguas was the beach... More
