fine sand

This beach is very nice with its fine white sand and crystal clear water. Travel time is quite long but worth it.

A 9-hour ride from Manila, including a 2-hour boat ride in the Pacific. BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. We were really speechless once we were near the beach. It was so beautiful. Amazed by all those images you see in the internet? The place REALLY looked like that. No filter needed. The sand was very fine, very white. Swimming... More

The long land travel is worth it. A place where you can swim near the shore and still enjoys it (I usually panic when I can't reach the ground). When we visited the island, we experienced calm sea waves so it is easy for me to swim around. But on your way to the island its kind of wavy specially... More

One of the Best Beach Getaway!! For most people the first thing that will come to mind when they think about Philippine Beaches would be Boracay, Palawan or Puerto Galera..but these places can get crowded especially on the peak season Fortunately, We got an alternative Paradise..Welcome to Calaguas! located on the province of Camarines Norte, me and 5 couples set... CALAGUAS ISLAND. A must visit island in the Philippine Archipelago. Found in Camarines Norte. It has a long stretch cove with White sand and Clean water where you can Swim, Snorkel, paddle a Kayak, ride Skim Board and other Water activities. Lay down on the sand and make your skin tan. And you can also have trekking with the rolling... More

I'm sure you've heard the following adjectives used to describe this beautiful island - white, crystal clear, untouched, unplugged. But when I traveled there with my office mates during Labor Day, there were only two words that echoed in my mind: YUPPIES' PARADISE. Hundreds of twentysomethings have camped in on the island! As I set foot on the powdery, soft... More

Calaguas Island is like Boracay 40 years ago - discover a place with NO resorts, pure white sand, crystal clear waters and beaches galore with no one on them! The main beach is brimming with young Filipino backpackers all staying in tents and enjoying raw nature. NO cellphone signal anywhere on the island either ...so people actually have to talk... More

About 2 hours by boat from Vinzons, Camarines Norte mainland. This island is acclaimed as the Boracay circa years ago; when the Boracay island is not that commercialized and crowded. What attracted me most is that long stretch of white powdery sand is comparable to that of Boracay's. The color of the sea has all the hues of Blue. This... More

The Islands of Calaguas is beyond imaginable as at the moment for me. I know Philippines have many beaches and places to visit that we can be proud of but this is beyond expectation. I used Peñano Travel and Tours (look for it in Facebook or contact directly the very environmental, mountaineer, kind, and ever reliable tour operator Euphi Peñano... More
