Worth more than the extreme adventure we encountered on the way to the island. It was November a monsoon season when we visited the place. Although it was raining that day but the rain had stopped when we left Paracale. The water was calm when we start sailing but few minutes later big waves came bumping our boat. The sea... More

Witnessing this slice of paradise with your own eyes was almost heaven on earth. It was just beautiful with its pristine water, sparkling sand and azure sky. It was by far the best beach I've ever seen in my whole life. With a very affordable trip from Manila, a heavenly experience will be all yours in Calaguas :D

If you're tired of crowded beaches - thsi island is for you. White sand, clear waters, most gorgeous sceneries - it was a welcome relief for us stressed out yuppies. Participated in a backpacking tour organized by CalaguasLocals. Pitched tents by the beach - great outdoor experience. Since it's an island, there is no electricity and no proper bathrooms -... More

The very first time I saw and read about Calaguas, I said to myself, "I will be in that place..Soon” I fulfilled my promise and asked a friend if she can draft an itinerary. After the never ending road going to Caramoan, we then went back to Paracale, Camarines Norte, the point where we need to hire a bangka going... More

The Calaguas islands are gorgeous, and the Waling Waling resort is really nice. Everything people say is true - the sands are so white, the water amazingly clear, it is well worth a visit. But there are serious negatives: - the Waling Waling managers are unresponsive and at times rude. (The cooking & cleaning staff however, are absolutely fantastic) -... More

Calaguas Island is better than any other resort. We spend 1 night last June 2014, with families. It was beautiful island except be ready for mosquitoes and small ants. Maybe the area we went "Waling-Waling" is not the same where Mahabang Buhangin is. Next time, we'll stay at the beautiful nipa hut instead at the tents.

Tired of the commercialised beaches, this one is for you. Getting there can be a challenge however once you get to Paracale it becomes easy. If you want to stay a night before or after there is a small hotel in town CM Hotel, go over the bridge, take the left turn and it is above the CM shop on... More

If you are looking for a place like Boracay but less parties, people, noise and pollution, better head to this beautiful island. This is not yet fully developed because it has no electricity yet and it will take you a 2hour boat ride going there. You can contact Mr. Noli Pajarin, he works with the Tourism and a local as... My friends and I went to calaguas before summer ended. It is a 2-hour boat ride from vinzons port. But you can also come from paracale. Upin reaching the Mahabang Buhangin beach, u will be amazed by the fine white sand similar to Boracay island. there is no current or phone signal. You have to camp if you want to... More

Me and my friends went to Calaguas Island last summer. the place is just so amazing. the beach boasts of clear blue waters and off-white sand. peaceful, serene, beautiful. I was so awestruck when I first laid eyes on that island. the 2-hr boat ride was worth it. There are no hotels or rooms of any kind. please bring tents... More
