A long stretch of beach with powdery soft white sand surrounded by low lying hills without any commercial establishment, no hotels or resorts--just camping. Aquamarine waters teeming with marine life with bright blue waves lapping at the shore.

wow. i'm jubilant to see this island! raw, untouched, rugged, unspoiled - just a few words that perfectly describe Calaguas. I must visit this again! Tip: avoid going here on a peak season. it's hard to line up for hours on the comfort room and water pump station. and bring lots of food!

Remote, quite and non-commercialised unlike boracay. They do have the same quality of sands and very clear pristine bluish waters. Corals are everywhere too so better to bring snorkeling gears. Need to bring lots of food to be cooked as well as water for there is no market and restaus around. Also dont forget to bring alcoholic drinks since it... More

For me, Calaguas is one of the best beach in Bicol or even here in the Philippines. Though the place is becoming too popular today and many tourists visited the place , still its locals maintained the cleanliness of the beach .The place is serene. Going alone / on the small group in the island is a bit expensive because... More

I'll definitely choose Calaguas over Boracay. It's definitely of of the best beaches here in PH. It's a 10-12 hour travel (by land and sea) from Manila, though this island will just blow you away once you step foot on its pure white sand that can be compared to the sand with the White beach in Boracay. We chose a... More

This beach is very nice with its fine white sand and crystal clear water. Travel time is quite long but worth it.

A 9-hour ride from Manila, including a 2-hour boat ride in the Pacific. BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. We were really speechless once we were near the beach. It was so beautiful. Amazed by all those images you see in the internet? The place REALLY looked like that. No filter needed. The sand was very fine, very white. Swimming... More

The long land travel is worth it. A place where you can swim near the shore and still enjoys it (I usually panic when I can't reach the ground). When we visited the island, we experienced calm sea waves so it is easy for me to swim around. But on your way to the island its kind of wavy specially... More
