Thank you to the reviewer who gave us directions to find this State Beach that remarkably has no sign on the main road for identification. Route 1 has road markers every mile or so and just keep looking for the MON 45.64 sign. If you are heading north, the small sign will be on the right and then you turn... more
Pfeiffer Beach is a hidden, secluded beach that is just breathtaking! We truly enjoyed our afternoon here... Trip Advisor has not let us down yet! more
It is hard to locate and the road is very narrow, but what a treat at the end. We ate a picnic on the beach and walked the beach. It was beautiful, even though it was a very cloudy day. This is a gem worth looking for. more
this is one of the best beaches we visited along the PCH. definately worth finding. Driving along the POCH the mile marker you will need to look for and turn at is MON 45.64. the road is not marked so keep your eyes on the mile markers. more
Hard to find, but worth scouting out the little narrow road that leads to a parking lot an easy walk from the beach. This is one of the most spectacular beaches! I could sit there for hours - completely mesmerizing. Warning: the water here can be treacherous, so beware and watch your kids! Also, cold and windy days aren't that... more
I was questioning why we were going when we made the drive to this beach. Very narrow roads back to it. But it was so much fun when we got there. Just a gorgeous view and my kids had a great time exploring and digging in the sand. It was very windy, though, when we went. My only complaint. more
I'm so delighted that Pfeiffer Beach is the TripAdvisor number one attraction in Big Sur. So well deserved. It takes a bit of getting to but the effort is well worth it. Pristine sand, fabulous rock formations and big surf for a $10 parking fee. For this, you can get away from the world and pretend that you are on... more

Very nice beach..if you are going in south direction, then after crossing the state park on your left, beach road comes on your second right...look out for some mailboxes....immediately after making a right turn,,,road goes steep down..so better to go slow... Am not a BIG beach lover..but this one blew away anybody's mind as well....one of the best ones I... more
