When I was planning for my honeymoon, I didn't want to drive all the way from San Francisco to Big Sur. So, I thought it would be easier and more exciting to stay in Pacific Grove for couple of days and let Dave drive us from there to heaven. Dave knows everything about the place and he even tells us... More

Traveling to Big Sur with my two sisters we decided to take Dave's tour so no one would have to drive and we could all enjoy the awesome scenery. Dave is a very informative, friendly and personable guide. He showed us places we would never have dared to explore on our own. Treat yourself to a very SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE!! Good... More

Dave the owner is a one man show, which makes his tours very interesting and personal. You travel in his own vehicle which is his own office on wheels. Since Dave lives in the area he has a more personal perspective of the area. He knows everyone by name, one of his good friends James is the concierge at the... More

My sister and I (early 20's) had never been to California before and found ourselves with a couple of tickets to the Coachella music festival and flights to San Fransico from London. Having not driven in the states before and desperately wanting to see the Big Sur in all it's glory we decided that a trip with Dave would be... More

Dave is more than just a tour guide. He is very personable and funny. I was on a time limit and needed to see the main hot spots. That is exactly what we did along with stop for a much desired glass of wine and cheese. I had a lovely time and saw aspects of Carmel, Monterey and Pebble beach... More

I had a great time driving along Highway One with Dave! Another crazy semester at Harvard is over and, before flying back to Europe for Christmas, I decided to spend a few days in Monterey and I couldn't have chosen a better guide for Big Sur. Incredibly knowledgeable, witty and professional -- and endorsed by National Geographic! --, Dave accommodated... More

My wife and I decided to elope in Carmel and were looking for a romantic adventure following our wedding. Although we had driven up PCH from Orange County just a few days before, I wanted a chance to see the spectacular Big Sur scenery without the distraction of driving. In addition, I was hoping to see a little more of... More

We arrived in Monterey by train/bus at 9 pm. Without a car we realized it would be difficult to see big sur and the pacific coast, however by 9am the next day we were in Dave's car and on our way down the coast. Dave's knowledge and great sense of humor ensured our trip was well worth it. what a... More

As an ex-pat American who left the US 40 years ago without ever seeing the west coast and married to an Italian who had made two brief stopovers at LAX and saw very little of the land, we were delighted by a five-state tour of the canyons and deserts of the western side of America. The finale of our trip... More
