My family and I went snorkeling with our teenager niece, what a great experience, we took the tour in the pier of Puerto Morelos, awesome experience the real Mexico, the boat left the pier to the reef, she was a little scare but after taking pictures and look to the wonderful blue clear water she was ok, they provided snorkel... The "Park" - which consists of miles of open ocean with protected reefs within sight of shore -- is well-regulated and uncrowded. The coral is vibrant and colorful and the sea life is abundant. We went with Wet Set Snorkeling and Diving out of Puerto Morales and had a great time. Our captain was safety conscious and our snorkeling guide... More

The reef is dying. It was a nice snorkel but sad to see. The coral was not a colorful as I remember it in the past, but did see fish and a great sea turtle.

My family and I sharef a day snorkeling at this beautiful reef! We were taken out in boats and given gear, which we put on and were safely taken to two different sections of the reef. It was breathtaking and we had snorkeled in the Bahamas. When we returned to land, we were treated to an unbelievablely authentic and delicious... More

The reef is a short trip off the shore. Very clear water, nice coral, good variety of fish, calm shallow water for snorkeling. Hired a guide right on the pier. The guide we had did a really good job of leading us and trying to find interesting sea creatures to look at. They also made sure we all respected the... More

We snorkled twice at this reef, and it was wonderful. Hired boat/guides from the kiosk in front of Mayan Riveria Properties office on the beach side of the town square. Only $20 each for 2 hours. The guides were great and pointed out many creatures we would have missed without them. Travelers should know, though, that the whole Mayan Riviera... More

Great place to see different types of fish and coral. We went on a 1/2 day excursion. They picked us up at our hotel at 10 and we returned about 2:30. We went to 2 different snorkeling sites. We did spend sometime waiting on others to show up to complete our group. The guides did a good job of explaining... More

Although Puerto Morelos is a little out of the way, a cab drive down only comes out to about 400 pesos—which given WetSet's very reasonable price all works out. English was spoken well by everyone we interacted with, and we had a pleasent outing. We all unfortunately got sunburnt on our lower backs—so do remember to reapply sunscreen between the... More
