Great place to visit but remember insect repellant.

We went to visit the gardens on a whim so didn't take insect repellant with us. We had a lovely time there. We only saw one other family. We did like having the gardens all to... read more

Hours are Monday to Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm and cost is 150 pesos or $15.00 US per person (bad exchange rate; pay in pesos). Neither price nor hours were on their website. The garden is located just a bit south of Puerto Morelos on the main highway (that takes you from Cancun to Tulum), you will have to exit to... More

We spent 3hrs just wandering around enjoying the unspoiled beauty of the gardens.I say gardens but it's more of a jungle/woodland.Mosquito repellent is a must-don't miss anywhere or you will get bitten. Not suitable for anyone who is unsteady on their feet or for buggies/wheelchairs. Take time to look closely and you will find lots of insects, bugs, beetles as well as loads... More

Chicle trees, a small archaeological site, and the monkeys !! Staff was great, and the walk, site was beautiful. An example of the biological richness of Quintana Roo!

This was an unexpected treat for us. There was nobody in the park, so we really enjoyed the jungle environment. You can climb to treetops, see lots of monkey families, enjoy the birds and..... oh yes, realize the value of insect spray (Off! cream). The entrance fee was very reasonable and it wasa great learning experience that we will not... More

We went to visit the gardens on a whim so didn't take insect repellant with us. We had a lovely time there. We only saw one other family. We did like having the gardens all to ourselves but couldn't understand why. There is a lot to see and we enjoyed learning about the Mayan peoples history. I would highly recommend... More

We spent about three memorable hours at the Botanical garden. The trails are well marked, maintained and easy for a comfortable hike through a variety of habitats. They had lots of collections of plants. Everything was well labeled easy to understand. We loved the apiary and the view from the towers and swinging bridge and just being in a different... More

If you are not a die-hard botany fan there will not be much to interest you. On the other hand, the park has a good variety of plants that are well labelled and a few other displays like a Mayan house and a rubber farmers camp.

We really enjoyed a morning stroll through the gardens, there were lots of birds and two spider monkeys playing in the trees. It was a great treat to watch Mama and her baby eating fruit in the tree tops. The hanging bridge is a great walk and view.

First, a couple of tips: Use the bathroom before you begin your walk as there didn't appear to be any others on the trail. Take water with you or purchase it at the entry. Bring bug repellent. We saw natual flora though little was in bloom at present. Cenotes, Mayan ruins, spider monkeys, a simulation of a chiclera camp and... More

Saw lots of wildlife here. It's cheap to enter and a worthwhile cause. A lovely morning walk and great views across the mangroves.
