Friendly people, beautiful place, and one of the most beautiful xenotes we visited. Bring your headlamp and GoPro!

Located in the middle of the jungle off the Ruta de los Cenotes, this was the only cenote we visited. It is convenient to the town of Puerto Morelos. We were there on a Saturday afternoon in March. The road is unpaved once you leave the ruta de los cenotes and it is not well marked. We did wonder if... More

The cenote is pretty and a cool experience. However, it is off the beaten path, over priced and the people who run it are rude.

We wanted an excursion that was "off the beaten path" and we found it in Cenotes de 7 Bocas. We hired a private driver through Lomas Travel. As October is low season we were the only visitors. The rainy season had forced the closure of two of the seven cenotes so the owner, Maria, reduced our entry fee from $20... More

This cenote was just breathtaking. We had rented a car and it didn't take very long to get there from Cancun and it is for sure off the beaten path. We had a group of 10 and we were the only people there. They charged us more for the white people than the Mexicans who were in our group. Which... More

Only a short drive from Puerto Morellos - look out for the sign on the right! You enter the first 'boca' (mouth) down wooden stairs and then swim through the cave to the second boca - at times the roof is only about a foot above the water level, but it was not scary and there is a rope to... More

We went second week of August 2013. Could only access cenote from three of the seven "mouths." One of the three had a staircase that was quite unfriendly and we passed. Glad we did, as we wound up swimming to the same hole after descending another ladder. Not much hear on our date, and wondering if water level was unusually... More

We visited the 7 Bocas cenote on 6/21/2013. We knew we didn't want a full day commercialized adventure and this turned out to be perfect. There were 7 of us and we took a cab from our resort near Puerto Morelos (El Cid resort). The taxi was $600 pesos (about $60) each way, but our cab driver said he would... More

We drove our rental car here one day. Upon arrival, down about 5-10 min dirt road, the owner tried to charge 400 pesos for two people to swim. He was not very pleasant to communicate with. We said we felt that the cost was too high and we turned around and left.

We drove our little rental car to Siete Bocas on our last morning in Mexico. It's about 15 minutes from Puerto Morelos and easy to navigate. When we arrived, the owner asked for $20 per person, which surprised us because we'd read it was only $10. We managed to agree on $27 for both. He gave us a quick tour... More
