We have healthy, well trained horses appropriate for first timers, novice and intermediate riders. Our tours are semi-private consisting of groups up to 12 riders, ensuring that everyone receives personal attention from our friendly, knowledgeable guides. We are located in a very convenient location between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. During the trail ride be ready to spot various species of birds, iguanas, butterflies and eventually spider monkeys and coatis; our guides will give you an interesting and entertaining commentary along the trails while you pass by a local plantation and follow the path that will lead you to visit a deep natural pit or sinkhole -characteristic of Mexico- resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. We will then remount and head back to the ranch, where at the end of the ride you will be given an opportunity to take a refreshing swim in our open air Cenote and enjoy some cool refreshments.Private tours can be offered for advanced riders upon request. Please do not forget to bring bug spray, sunscreen, closed toe shoes , bathing suit & towel and be ready to enjoy a different way to spend your day. « less

We both loved this excursions (although the MR wasn't too fond of riding the horses) out of all our excursions we did on our extremely long stay this was one of his favorites there was a lot to see with a bit of history. The tour guides were awesome and if you don't want to bring your camera you don't... More

If you have a chance to go horseback riding at the Bonanza Ranch - GO - it's a once in a lifetime experience riding through the jungle - you never know what you'll see, and the tour guides (wranglers) are super friendly, knowledgeable, cute, and humorous too. You'll learn a little something extra on this ride, with some wilderness demonstrations... More

This was AWESOME! The ranch team was fantastic and made this adventure so much fun. Very relaxed atmosphere, they were always close by providing direction with the horses (a few beginners in our group, me being one of them), and lots of laughter the whole time. Highly, highly recommend going out with Raul and his team to everyone visiting the... More

We visited the Bonanza Ranch while vacationing at Club Med in Cancun. We researched a few different excursions offered by our resort & ultimately decided on this one as it was moderately priced ($80/pp), would only take up 1/2 of our day, & for the most part would give us a break from the sun but still be fun. It... More

I hadn't ridden for 29 years so this ranch and their beautiful horses was just perfect to reacquaint myself. The Bonanza ranch is located within the grounds of the Eldorado Royale/Casitas, which is where we were staying so again very convenient - just a short golf cart trip from reception!! The horses were in good shape and incredibly well natured.... More

Hi! Thaks for visiting our Ranch during your recent vacations. We appreciate your time and comments. One of the two things that we take pride of, is that our horses are very well cared and looked after.. the second one is that we want our staff to reflect the warm of the Mexican people. Because of Turtle Protection Program that... More

We visited Bonanza Ranch in March 2014. The two guides we dealt with most were Raoul and Carlos. They were awesome, genuine guys who were friendly, experienced, and helped us enjoy our horseback experience. We spent a little time practicing in corral with the horses before heading out into the jungle. We went past gardens, up hills, and saw tropical... More

My husband and I went riding at Bonanza Ranch. The horses are all "rescues" but are still much nicer than others we have seen in the Caribbean. The fellows at the ranch were very friendly and spoke English quite well, especially Carlos! We were given a couple minutes to practice in the corral before heading out. There was a woman... More

Hello Bemba, we would love to see some of the pictures that Paparazzi took of you . Which horses did you ride? Were they well behaved and nice to you? One thing that we like about the trails that we ride on, is that you can still see animals in their natural hábitat - as the parrots that you mentioned... More

We wanted to take one excursion off the resort and my love of horses made me pick this excursion. It was a short bus ride of 20 minutes or so. Raul and Carlos were gracious guides. The swim in the cenote was very nice, the horses at the ranch are beautiful well trained well fed horses which were a joy... More

My newly husband knew how much I loved horses and surprised me with a trip to Bonanza Ranch. I was so excited, but he was kind of nervous since he is scared of riding horses, but he was such a trooper. It was a rainy day when we went, and the other tourists cancelled their excursion, so we got a... More

Ride was thru wooded area with no bugs. Helmets were required and trail interesting with mud and rock. It was a change from the beach ride. Ended with a swim in a Cenote.
