Hands-on learning to prepare Mexican dishes with Chef Salvador. We learned to prepare salsas, sopes, sopa (soup) (Mexican mushroom), Rollos (beef rolls), grilled vegetables, and guava and mango pudding with toasted pecans. Excellent food, great cooking tips, short history of Mexico and the diferent culinary styles which have evolved since pre Hispanic times. Take a bus from ADO in downtown... More

We took the one day cooking class from 9:45 to 3:30 at the Little Mexican Cooking School in Puerto Morales with not knowing what we would learn since we already make several Mexican dishes on our own. We were surprised on what we would learn not only about Mexican cooking, but other cooking tips as well. We were lucky to... More

I am a scuba diver but unable to dive this trip due to recovering from surgery. So while looking for other things to do, I came across this cooking school. I'm so glad that I did. This was a very enjoyable day. I took a taxi from my resort to Casa Caribe in Puerto Morelos which took about 15 minutes... More

Following the recommendation of several others on Trip Advisor, I booked a class at The Little Mexican Cooking School. It was truly enjoyable. I learned several new things I can't wait to try at home. The food prepared was delicious, and there was plenty of opportunity for hands-on experience...the best way to learn! Add me to the list of those... More

My husband and I attended this class together. The class was from 9:00-3:00 with us cooking and eating a 4 course meal (salsas, guacamole, soaps, coconut crusted tuna, rice with herbs, lemon tart, rice pudding, avocado soup). The class was taught by two Pablo's, one is a new instructor while the other was leaving to work full time at his... More

Came here with some friends who had previously taken a class 2 years ago. I'm not one for long reviews so I'll keep this short and to the point. Chef Pablo was great. I don't think the class would be the same without him. He was skillful at interacting with everyone and his instructions were thoughtful and to the point.... More

Let me start by saying this. I was a little apprehensive about taking this class. I'm a fairly decent cook and Mexican food is kind of my specialty and I wasn't sure I'd learn anything new. I am the father of a high school student who would be taking the class with my wife and me, and wasn't sure he... More

We've been to many cooking schools in our travels and this one rates very high for the quality of the food, the chance to be hands on, and the depth of instruction. Chef Pablo obviously cares strongly about sharing his skills and helping others to be comfortable in the kitchen. We learned so much about Mexican food history, practiced knife... More

My husband and I attended class here a few days ago and loved the experience. It was nearly a full day, taking our time with Chef Pablo Espinosa, who was a delight. He taught us not only some of the staples that form the base of traditional Mexican cooking but the techniques that contribute to successful regional cuisine. The experience... More

My teenage daughters and I had a great time learning new/refined techniques and recipes during the day with Chef Pablo! It is one of our highlights from the trip! Pablo is very interested in class interaction - he wants you to touch, taste, ask, take notes/pictures and ask more. He's very encouraging and clear with directions. I must say -... More
