My sister and I took this class and loved every moment of it. The chef, Salvador Tamayo, was the BEST. His technique is impeccable (he completed years of culinary education) and he is a fantastic teacher. Amazingly patient, deeply passionate, and a prodigy in the history of food. His energy during the class was infectious. Truly, we were all stunned!... More

I participated in a class at the Little Mexican Cooking School several years ago, and really loved it and enjoyed learning from Chef Pablo. I returned this year to a class taught by Chef Salvador. The other class was taught in the previous location, across the street from the jungle. The current location has a lot more space. It's more... More

We had a fabulous day at the school. Our chef Salvadore was really good and I actually learned a few things. The day we went our menu was for things we could make at home. I recommend this experience for anyone coming to Puerto Morelos or surrounding areas. Maybe even make it a destination holiday as Cat has a great... More

An all-day hands-on gourmet cooking school, this is off the beaten path and well worth the time. Taxi connection is via dedicated transportation recommended by the School or via public transportation. Six hours long and lots of eating the class's efforts. Taught in English by excellent Mexican chefs (one per day), we had an interesting, dynamic young chef who led... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful day at the Little Mexican Cooking school. The class runs from 10 am to 2:30 or 3 pm, and you cook and eat all day. The class size is small (we had 7), and it's definitely hands on cooking. It's taught in English and/or Spanish by a Mexican chef, and you learn many... More

I booked the class before we arrived in Cancun and I am so happy I did. It was probably the best experience of the week (outside of the beaches!). We were greeted by the owner Catriona, and spend the short waiting time browsing in the little shop which has some excellent quality items. Not the regular trash and trinket stuff.... More

I am a vegan, a celiac and Whole Food Plant Strong. I am passionate about cooking my healthy food. I called the cooking school and spoke with The Little Mexican Cooking School assistant manager who was so helpful and accommodating. Both she and the owner speak perfect English. She advised me that the chef would do a class that would... More

My winter vacation will extend into spring as I cook Mexican food I learned to make during my day in Puerto Morelos. We made two meals and a snack, learned how to prepare and use several kinds of pepper, and formed and pressed tortillas, including huaraches that incorporate beans in the tortilla. We have recipes for four salsas and mole,... More

I would say the highlight of our trip to Mexico was our 2 (two!) sessions 4 days apart at The Little Mexican Cooking School this past February. The class starts at 10am and finishes at 3:30; the time passes like a flash in the pan. We prepared (hands-on) a number of delicious dishes such as Chicken Mole, ceviches, fish tacos,... More

What a nice experience with my sister-in-law. Past a wonderful day cooking with a chef and then eat the meals... Nice group too. Thank you very much for that mémorable day in Puerto Morelos.
