My husband is a Corporate Chef & I thought it would be fun for us to learn how to make real authentic Mexican food. This class was so much fun! First off there was only one other couple the day of the class, so I feel we were a little spoiled having a more intimate class. Chef Pablo is so... More

I signed up for the day long cooking class online about 2 months in advance: easy & convenient. Arrived a bit early for the tasty Mexican pastries & coffee; great way to start the day. Chef Salvador was marvelous: warm, knowledgeable, & helpful. I was glad to learn about the history of this cuisine, the combination of Maya & Spanish... More

On our 3rd trip to this part of Mexico in 13 years, I wanted to do something different, so I was happy to find this option. Hubby suggested he wait on the beach (to save money) for me, but I wouldn’t let him out of sharing this experience with me. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The company of other guests, class,... More

The class runs from Mid Morning through lunch. With hands on and demonstration from an excellent chef with great teaching skills. We went as 3 adults and 2 preteens and all had a great time. There was history, culture and yummy food all mixed together into a terrific 1/2 day

We just finished a cooking session with Chef J. Salvador Fernández that was one of the best activities we've done on this vacation. During the class, we learned a little Mayan and Mexican culture relating to the ingredients we used. During the session, some of us were able to make various salsas, both uncooked and cooked, which all were able... More

Great day with two friends! Chef instructor was well spoken, well read and made it an exceptional day! On our day there, the group was a family, a couple and us. Small group made it a great learning environment. Thanks for the great lessons!

We were treated to a day at the Little Mexican Cooking School during a recent trip to the area. The location of the school is in a lovely bed and breakfast type boutique hotel and we spent the morning on the large and beautifully decorated covered porch. The Chef Salvador's enthusiasm is infectious and his knowledge of local lore and... More

My sister and I took this class and loved every moment of it. The chef, Salvador Tamayo, was the BEST. His technique is impeccable (he completed years of culinary education) and he is a fantastic teacher. Amazingly patient, deeply passionate, and a prodigy in the history of food. His energy during the class was infectious. Truly, we were all stunned!... More
