I am a vegan, a celiac and Whole Food Plant Strong. I am passionate about cooking my healthy food. I called the cooking school and spoke with The Little Mexican Cooking School assistant manager who was so helpful and accommodating. Both she and the owner speak perfect English. She advised me that the chef would do a class that would... More

My winter vacation will extend into spring as I cook Mexican food I learned to make during my day in Puerto Morelos. We made two meals and a snack, learned how to prepare and use several kinds of pepper, and formed and pressed tortillas, including huaraches that incorporate beans in the tortilla. We have recipes for four salsas and mole,... More

I would say the highlight of our trip to Mexico was our 2 (two!) sessions 4 days apart at The Little Mexican Cooking School this past February. The class starts at 10am and finishes at 3:30; the time passes like a flash in the pan. We prepared (hands-on) a number of delicious dishes such as Chicken Mole, ceviches, fish tacos,... More

What a nice experience with my sister-in-law. Past a wonderful day cooking with a chef and then eat the meals... Nice group too. Thank you very much for that mémorable day in Puerto Morelos.

This is at least the third time we have taken a cooking class at the Little Mexican Cooking School. Each class is better than the best. Each class we make new foods from a new region of Mexico. Our chef for the class was Chef Salvador. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and provided many practical cooking tips. The class is... More

My boyfriend and I vacationed to Cancun back in October and after a few days of being there we were ready to get away from the tourist traps and all the pushy sales people trying to sell club tickets, excursions, timeshare, etc. So we did some browsing on TripAdvisor, and stumbled on this awesome cooking school in Puerto Morelos. Awesome!... More

My son and I had an opportunity to go the school today. It is approximately 30 minutes from Cancun's Hotel Zone by car. The Bed and Breakfast is quaint, clean and friendly. It was a welcomed change from the busy Cancun center. Chef J. Salvador Fernandez created a cooking class that paralleled Mexican history. It was interesting to learn how... More

This is the second time we have taken this class! Besides working with a chef from Mexico, we get to learn some regional history. The cooking is hands on and the results are delicious! Don't miss this opportunity. It is an all day class. We will be doing this on each of our visits. We stay in Playa and take... More

The chef blended the history of they Aztecs, Myans and Spanish, explaining how it blended into the dishes we were cooking. We performed new cooking techniques and prepared foods from wonderful fresh ingredients. The school was well organized, the chef knowledgeable and passionate about sharing this with the class. Well done!

The Little Mexican Cooking School is a great activity to do in Puerto Morelos. We love Mexican food and to have Chef Salvador show us lots of secrets to cooking it was so much fun! And the best part is you get to eat it all at the end of the session. We actually learned lots of Mexican history from... More
