Don't worry if you left your books for vacation reading at home! The nicest and most friendly place to find new and used books at bargin prices is at The Alma Libre Bookstore in Puerto Morelos. I have visited this store over many years and am always greeted with a smile by the owners:Rob and Joanne. Every season they return... More

This store is a great place to stop and grab a book, and also ask advice from an native english speaker. The store stocks a few gift items which were more interesting than what was offered out at the flea market.

The Alma Libre Bookstore in Puerto Morelos has a wonderful collection of books, magazines, and trinkets. It is also a great gathering spot in the square. Open late.

Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate you visiting our store and taking the time to write a review. I should note though that while we do have books, gourmet items and gifts, we do not have magazines. We are also not open late. This year we close at 6 in the evening. Thank you very much Rob Alma... A delightful shop in the center of town with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not only did I buy postcards but also bottles of vanilla, which happened to be on sale for 1/4 the price of that at one of the gift shops in town. If you don't see anything else, be sure to stop in here.

Every town should have a bookstore like this! Great books, pleasant and helpful staff, best prices on Mexican Vanilla, nice gift selection, lots of local flavor. Every recommendation we were given was right-on! Close down the tourist office on the corner and make Alma Libre the local welcome center!

As everyone has pointed out on TA this store is a great resource for everything Yucatan related as well as a well stocked book store. We went there in search of a 'good' map (no Google map will work for my hubby while on the road) as we were planning on renting a car (for the first time in Mexico)... More

We stopped in here to pick up post cards from PoMo. The staff was helpful and gave us directions to other places in town. We did enjoy the store and the stuff for sale.

This nice book store came as a surprise with a vast selection of new and used books in mostly English with some Spanish titles too that you can buy or trade. The lady who helped us, Sandy, was very pleasant to chat with and gave us great tips for our travels around the Yucatan and Central America. She was very... More

This bookstore was mentioned in our Lonely Planet guide and as we were headed to PoMo for the day we decided to drop in. The selection of books is amazing and we were hard pushed to choose. The lady in the store on the day we visited could not have been more helpful. As we had not been to the... More
