Funky bookstore right next to the main square. Mostly used books, some news one. Kids books in Spanish. Great Freida Khalo beach bags! Very sturdy!

When I ran out of non-electronic reading material, I came here and found a great novel at a great price! Most titles are in English, though there are small sections for Spanish and other languages.

We caught the owner on their last day of the (high) season. Solid advice regarding cheap car rental was very much worth a little patronage!

A gem of a little bookstore with many items including maps and other navigational tools to help you get around the Mayan Riviera. Rob and Joanne, the owners, are solid excellent people eager to help visitors. When in Puerto Morelos do yourself a favor and pay this shop a visit!

Don't worry if you left your books for vacation reading at home! The nicest and most friendly place to find new and used books at bargin prices is at The Alma Libre Bookstore in Puerto Morelos. I have visited this store over many years and am always greeted with a smile by the owners:Rob and Joanne. Every season they return... More

This store is a great place to stop and grab a book, and also ask advice from an native english speaker. The store stocks a few gift items which were more interesting than what was offered out at the flea market.

The Alma Libre Bookstore in Puerto Morelos has a wonderful collection of books, magazines, and trinkets. It is also a great gathering spot in the square. Open late.

Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate you visiting our store and taking the time to write a review. I should note though that while we do have books, gourmet items and gifts, we do not have magazines. We are also not open late. This year we close at 6 in the evening. Thank you very much Rob Alma... A delightful shop in the center of town with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not only did I buy postcards but also bottles of vanilla, which happened to be on sale for 1/4 the price of that at one of the gift shops in town. If you don't see anything else, be sure to stop in here.

Every town should have a bookstore like this! Great books, pleasant and helpful staff, best prices on Mexican Vanilla, nice gift selection, lots of local flavor. Every recommendation we were given was right-on! Close down the tourist office on the corner and make Alma Libre the local welcome center!
