We'd been in Puerto Morelos in 2012, and had visited Jungle Spa at that time. Having enjoyed our two visits so much, we were particularly looking forward to our return this year. Luckily, we'd also taken a picture with the two Mayan women who had provided such great massages. So, when I emailed Sandra about scheduling appointments, I included the... More

We had heard about the Jungle Spa for a few years and decided to try it. It’s located about a 10 minute ride from the center of Puerto Morales village. We took a taxi from there (all the taxi drivers know where it is) and arrived for our appointment. Sandra, the owner, interviews the guests and determines their needs and... More

Great spa but make sure to give the tips directly to the girls (because the owner has been known to keep them). Would definitely go again!

We had read about the Jungle Spa on trip advisor and was excited to try it. We took a short ride from the Now Jade Resort in a taxi out into the countryside. We came a little early to look around as we love taking in the culture when we vacation. We met Daniel first and he showed us around... More

The jungle spa is literally in the jungle, very rustic and beautiful. It is a non profit organization that keeps some Mayan women employed and able to provide a home for their families. I have had many massages at different resorts all over Canada and the U.S. this is one of the best massages I have ever had. I chose... More

I have been trying to get to the Jungle Spa for the longest time and finally my spouse and I made it out to Sandra’s. Yes, Rural but worth the trip and extra price for transportation. Still a savings or break even over HOTEL - Resort spa but much better. A little about myself, I was the massage “doll” for... More

Wow you really took some time to write your review. Thank you so much. I am glad to hear you want a longer massage next time. The hour massage is not long enough for most people to do the healing work we do and then nature also works it magic on relaxing you, the plants, trees and nature is the... More

Absolutely the best spa experience for the money. We go every time we are in the area. Wonderful to go out and see the show and sample the food too-check the website for schedule. Went here twice during my week stay at Sapphire Now. I did not go to the resort spa once. I am sure the resort spa is fine, but the Jungle Spa is worth the short cap ride. Plan on at least 2.5 hours for the first visit and only the amount of time of your massage for the following visits.... More

Had the pleasure of a deep tissue massage from Mary (Godzilla) this morning. Her petit frame belies her incredible strength as she re-energized my circulation to arms and legs. While celebrating our anniversary in Playa del Carmen in July 2014, 8 from our group ventured off to the Jungle Spa. I had made reservations by phone with Sandra and our hotel booked a taxi for us. Thank you for the time you took to write your review. it was greatly appreciated. I find it interesting when people think our surooundings are primitive. I guess humans are now use to concrete block walls which blocks out nature andthe healing energy it provides. There is nothing better for healing. Nature is the natural habitat for humans.I feel very... More
