The little town, the winery, wine tasting were all a treat. We topped it off with a great lunch at the little restaurant on the left as you walk in from the parking lot. (Fee for the winery tour, reservations recommended)

What can you say more than divine... The place is just breathless for its beauty. Half way in between Siena and Florence, it is ideal to stop by this marvelous place and take a moment for yourself to cheer life with a glass of vine. I've been living since a long time in Italy, but this place really stole my... More

we had just wanted a tasting and then to buy some wine but were told on the phone to join a wine tour, we were not told until the end that it would cost us euro 16 each. I have never been on a tour that makes a charge for a tasting and believe me I have been on many... More

The ancient village high up in the tuscan hills north of Radda provides a total experience. You can hire one of the nice rustic apartments, taste the famous wines of Castelllo di Volpaia, eat at the restaurant La Bottega or sip a cafe doppi at bar Undici or just simply relax in the most beatiful place in Tuscany!

Stayed about 3 miles around the other side of this hilltop in a Villa between Radda and Volpaia. Drove around to Volpaia for the Cooking Class (and small winery tour). "Joe" was terrific and we had a wonderful time. Picturesque small town, adorable kitchen, delicious food, and interesting tour of the small wine making operation they have there. Just enough... More

Had an awesome time at the Castello Di Volpaia cooking class with our host and instructor Giovannella. She was a marvelous host, sharing cooking expertise, insights and wonderful wines. Perhaps one of the best vacation experiences I can recall. Took a break from cooking to tour the town and get a lesson in the wine and olive oil making. I... More

We have traveled to numerous wine regions around the world and tasted wine in many different wineries but Castello di Volpaia absolutely ranks in the top 5. We expected the so often found tasting at a counter or bar with a knowledgeable individual explaining all the specifics of the wine, the vintage, the weather conditions, etc. This experience however was... Stop here while in Tuscany. This winery is very beautiful. It's in an old Medieval village. We called ahead and reserved wine tasting with a small lunch and a tour of the caves. We arrived to a room beautifully set with thousands of wine bottles around. It was amazing. I felt like I was in the 1400's. the wine was... More
