It is worth leaving the beach behind for a day to do this wonderful day trip to see some of Goa's eclectic past and have the most magnificent lunch. We were a small group of four travellers, along with our lovely guide Becky. She had a great rapport with all the people we visited and was full of advice about... More

What a truly amazing day out. Well worth removing yourself from the beach for. Our host and organiser Jazz was quick to build a rapport and obviously knew her stuff taking us to a 16th century manor house, split in 2 by 2 feuding brothers. The house and it's artifacts were interesting but not as much as the two family... More

I have been a regular visitor to the wonderful Palolem for the past 8 years, and have always found myself subdued by the beach life of Goa, and not ventured too far away. But on my visit this year, we were determined to do more. Although hung over, and feeling as if I needed more sleep, we were picked up... More

I did this trip in December my mum and met some lovely people on the day as well. It was a great day and nice to do something different from the 'norm' of Goa life. From getting picked up in the morning, seeing the beautiful Portuguese houses and learning their history and ending the day having an incredible (and I... More

We had a great drive, tour and lunch. There is something for everyone; from the fanciful (architecture, furniture, family photgraphs, lush gardens) to the unusual (one of St. Francis' toenails). Many thanks to Joanna's colleague Becky who lead our group.

We enjoyed every aspect of this trip. It was an excellent way to get a grasp on the Goan heritage. Joanna was a fantastic host and she organized it perfectly.

Arrived in Goa without booking anything in advance only to find many options had filled up. Joanna worked diligently with us to get a Lunch Club Tour the following day. From the transportation to the tours to the delicious lunch - everything was taken care of. Definitely worth doing if you find yourself in Palolem! Great insight into the area's... More

Even if I am not into much cultural things I really enjoyed this trip. Jess was taking care of us all so well and the company was great. Not to far to travel in the car before we reach our destination. Amazing to see the Braganza Mansion with it's 2 different "sides". Then the lunch! "just a little something my... More
