This was such a wonderful day out with friends and a great way to gain a different perspective on beautiful Goa and it's Portuguese history. The houses that you visit are exquisite and the ladies that showed us around really shared their passion and knowledge of their family history with us. The food was beyond amazing, and catered to the... More

In my daughter's many times in Goa she had never been on this trip but always wanted to. We were not disappointed as everything about it was wonderful and so well organised by Joanna. The only thing which would have made it perfect would have been to have had her company although the sweet lass who accompanied us was delightful.... More

Dear Deborah, many thanks for your lovely review. I agree that its a great way for a mother and daughter to enjoy spending quality time away from the beach - in fact we regularly enjoy the company of visiting parents keen to experience a taste of authentic 'Old Goa.' Next time you wish to join us, i will be very... More

This is a unique opportunity to see how the Portuguese once lived and the style of garden they would have made. The property was bought in a ruined state and has been sensitively restored by the present owners but still feels very much like a family home. Lunch is delicious, with many (light!) Goan dishes to try out. The tour... More

I'm regular visitor to Goa every season for christmas and new year. I'd never heard of this delightful colonial refurbished mansion until Joanna very kindly invited me. Joanna very successfully organised a party of twelve of us - all regular beach lovers - to go on this little adventure 40 mins away. That takes a lot of persuading once you... More

This outing is a great way to experience another side of Goa - having spent a few months on the beach and never really ventured inland to the historic parts of Goa, we decided to book on when my mum came to visit and were so glad that we finally did! The day includes a tour of a 400-odd year... More

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Joanna from KoKo India who organised a perfect leaving lunch for me & a big group of friends. We all had very limited time & different ongoing travel plans, so the fact that she got us all together in the 1st place was a miracle. We were picked up from the... More

This was the first time I went on a trip for the second time :) The trip is very well organised and the food is out of this world. Not to be missed - treat yourself to a day off the beach, you won't regret it.

I participated in this tour after a rather hectic night of partying the night before. Luckily for me the hardest thing I had to do was be at the arranged meeting point on time. From there, our host Joanna collected us in our taxis, transporting us a short distance away (c.40 mins) to a picturesque 17th century Portuguese influenced mansion... More

We ventured off the beach for the 'lunch club' arranged by Joanna, not quite sure what to expect. A 45 minute drive took us to a stunning colonial Portuguese mansion, recently restored and with amazing grounds and gardens. The lunch was delicious - course after course of food which was both different from and far superior to the usual beach-side... More
