clean, quiet, lagoon and waves

Lovely beach with crystal clear water, great lagoons for those who like flat still water and observing what lies beneath the surface, and then surf for those who enjoy that.

That's it. The beach is alittle bit far from "Barra Grande". You can use a "jardineira" to get there or rent a small all terrain everywhere at the village. Ask at your hostel. The place is very good for snorkeling or scuba. Pay attention at the tidal chart.

Nice to walking on the beach, good to see fish, very clear water but to access a beach is very complicated, the road is terrible.

Great coral reef and I truly recommend be aware about the tides (any hotel have), so this way you know which time the waves are bigger and then you can enjoy better the coral reefs. In front of the beach is available dive kits for rent. Be are about the transport, when I was there I've problems to come back... More

If you re into swimming on a natural lagune, this is the place for you. If you re into suba diving or simply snorkeling around beautiful coral reefs, you ll love this place. Well preserved and protected by the local community, and everyone is very friendly around it. Make sure you go on a full moon week, where the tides... More

The beach and land surrounding where a bit spoiled with a mass tourism feel, but the biggest attraction is the coral reef that needs to be visited a low tide. It is not a outstanding reef but still nice for a visit.

Nice to rest at the beach, good beach service and calm swimming and dive at natural reef poll. There are good waves too. It is important to know about the best time to the practice the surf and swimming/dive (low tide).

Taipus de Fora is one of the best kept secrets in Brazil, a beautiful lomg beach known for its natural rock pools which form at low tide. It's situated on the Atlantic Ocean side of the Peninsula de Maraú in Bahia, Brazil around 20 minutes drive south from the main town of Barra Grande. Most people come here to go... More

I enjoyed every aspect of this tour. A ride on Quad to Taipus de Fora, the life on the reef, the beach and the possibility of exploring the area which has good infrastructure.

I have visited literally hundred of beaches all out of the Brazilian coast, but Taipús de Fora beach (this is the correct spelling) is absolutely amazing and unique! It's surely the best and most beautiful beach of the Brazilian continental coast (except from two or three beaches on Fernando de Noronha Islands). The beach is breathtaking by itself, with lots...
