Love the passion shown by all staff and the educational experience offered to everyone who visits. An amazing place to visit and I will definitely be returning when I am next in Rotorua.

This is one of the best things I've been to. Brilliant flying display and chance to get so close to the birds. Highly recommend this. What a great facility doing a great job for NZ very rare raptors!!

We visited Wingspan on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. The aviaries were large with lots of interesting information. The falcon flying display was the highlight. A great educational experience for young and old. We knew very little about the NZ falcon before we visited - we were so taken with the whole experience we have become... More

Went with my then girlfriend (now wife) in August 2013. Was a lovely day, not too many people so got very close to the birds. Would highly recommend.

The last activity I enjoyed as a resident of Rotorua, Wingspan is an educational and a truly unique experience, supported by an amazing team, committed to the wellbeing of the fabulous NZ Falcon. Take time to explore the aviaries and see moreporks, falcons and hawks, then enjoy the Falcon flying display where you will learn about these amazing birds and... More

My husband and I had a really great day at Wingspan. We learned a lot about our Native NZ Falcon. I have been terrified of birds for most of my life due to an unfortunate incident when I was a child. But the staff at Wingspan had so much patience and I was allowed to hold one of the Falcon's... More

I have had a wonderful weekend at WINGSPAN, walking thru the Avairies & seeing the Falcons, Moreporks, a Barn Owl & Harrier Hawks up close. The museum is definately worth a look with specimens on display & some History of Falconing world wide. The reception area is well set out for refreshments, books, T-Shirts, Hoods made for Falcons, stunning photographs,... More

Not your usual tourist activity, but really recommended, Wingspan is the only bird of prey centre in New Zealand with amazing flying displays at 2pm daily. Explore the aviaries with Moreporks, falcons and hawks (and if you're lucky, as I was, morepork chicks). When I visited, they even had an injured Barn Owl that they had rescued. They also have...
