We have been camping at Grundy Lake since June 2010. We started off by camping in a tent at a site in Red Maple. Most beautiful spot in the park. In 2011 we decided it was time to upgrade to a camper, so we had to choose electric sites. The non electric, tent only areas of the park are the... More

We are visiting this provincial park for 5 years already, once in every summer. I think we found our perfect camping place. There are activities for all ages: great hiking trails, canoe/kayak rentals nearby and many great beaches with smooth rocky shores provide excellent swimming; bring your bikes! Countless inland lakes that offer endless canoeing and kayaking adventures. 3.5 hours... More

very nice provincial park. Sections 600 have power and is close to showers. There are several small lakes to explore here as well as hiking trails. Cliffs for jumping off and a quiet (no motors) lake for canoes. As you turn off 69 onto #522 there is a business that rents canoes($40 per day) as well as a store, gas and... More

We have travelled to many provincial parks in Ontario but keep coming back to Grundy. We have teen aged kids and they absolutely love the jumping rocks and seem to find new friends every year they go. We enjoy kayaking in the small lakes and the fishing is ok. If you want to fish go down the road about 10... More

I visited Grundy Lake with a group and stayed in White Spruce #10, with friends on #8. Recommend #8 for size and shade. #10 was a little smaller and much more sun! I liked White Spruce. It was central, close to Grundy and Gurd Lakes, so an easy portage either way. take of the Supply post at the corner of... More

Been going to Grundy, annually, for many years. Evidenced by the string of annual photographs against the sign at the road. Wildlife includes mosquitoes (take bug spray), chipmunks, loons, and of course a few bears every summer. Campers are warned, but continue to leave coolers out overnight. The result is inevitable!!! I will not list all the good things about... More

I am heading to Campsite #17 @ White Spruce Campground ... We are wondering if anyone has been to this camesite? What kind of site is it? Can you see the water?! Anyone have any suggestions on what to do while we are there? This is our first time going...

We are seasoned campers. Started with tents, moved to tent-trailer(pop-up), then to a real Travel trailer. Only 16' so we can still 'fit-in' the sites we like. Have been coming to Grundy since 1993, when my eldest was 2 and we wanted to explore up north and were tired of Algonquin and Lake Huron. Love it ever since! It's by... More

We travel here every year, It is a great park for teens or older. We enjoy getting a site right on the lake and love to walk the trails. Most sites are private . My kids have done the cliff jumping thing but I am not brave enough, There is wildlife so obviously keep your camp site clean if you... More

We enjoyed our stay @ Grundy. Canoeing/Kayaking is fun on the connected lakes. The next time I go I am bringing my fishing gear...looks like it may be fun as well. We stayed on Gurd Lake and the water is very weedy, even a long distance from shore. We prefer Killbear which is about 1hr south of Grundy.
