Could spent hours slowly admiring the place. Best time to visit is close to sunset. Don't to miss the different Candi.

This is the biggest Hindu Temple in Indonesia. It is very large that you feel so tiny below it. Although it actually called Rara Jonggrang Temple, but it is famous with the name "prambanan". You could enter this temple with 30k IDR fee, or 45k IDR (local tourist price, i dont know how much the foreigner price cost) if you... More

Long taxi ride but worth the effort. Do it in conjunction with a visit to Borobodur. Unless you are really interested in fancy coffee, batik or silver don't accept the 'optional' extra free visits. They are just an opportunity for a hard sell.

Visiting the temples were an experience altogether. It is important to get a good guide though to explain the the signs and symbols.

Wonderful architecture!. We had an excellent guide by Angsa tours and we learnt a lot about the architecture. The detailed engravings at this temple were amazing. We were wondering how it could have been possible to even come up with such architecture decades ago. The entire premises is so well maintained, clean and peaceful. Do not miss your visit to... Each of the temples is worth a look, but especially the Shiva and Brahma for the Ramayana story in its carvings, which are exquisite. Allow a couple of hours if you are really interested in the carvings.

If you like temples, this is a great place to visit. Thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here. The markets also have some great bargains on the way out.
