The journey took about 2 1/2 hours from bandung city centre on a weekday. It was raining alone the way and the traffic was a little heavy on the small road towards Kawah Putih. The scenery nearer towards the destination was great. You will see strawberry and tea plantation on the hills along the way. The weather is cool and... More

A serene crater lake, beautiful with its bluish water. Take a few moments to admire the the different shade of blue and you could find traces of sulphur in the water. Cool weather so bring warm clothing. Sulphur smell is mild, not an issue for most people. It takes 2 hrs to get there from Bandung city when traffic is... More

Went on Sunday 23 March 2014. It was almost 2 hours ride to here. A little pricier compared to Perahu as this requires either the attraction "car" or your personal vehicle(either way, there are charges). Was charged less than 200k for three person (including driver and car). The tea/strawberry plantation sceneries were breathtaking, there are alot of shops selling rabbits... More

You can't stay here for too long, it will get harder to breathe. The place itself is kinda different which is good for photos but 5 mins is enough to make you want to get out of there. Not a romantic or peaceful place to hangout and very touristy even on weekdays

Quiet and colour full crater with white and yellowish as effect of sulphure. good for photograph, located only 30 kms from Bandung but the traffic is quite busy. The best time to visit is in early morning.

Stunning view of the crater lake and the place is serene and peaceful. For those who love nature this is the best place to visit and explore on your own. You may do trail walking beside seeing the lake itself. Though the road trip is quite long journey, but along the way before you reach here, the view of the... More

Long journey from Bandung City to Kawah Putih but it was worthwhile cos along the journey, my children got to see paddy fields, people and buffaloes working on the fields, horse-carriages as a mode of transport and strawberry farms; something they do not get to see in our country. When we reached Kawah Putih, the strong sulphur smell was bearable.... More
