One of the reasons for summer in gozo! The caponata started by itself justified the rather hairy drive down the hill to reach the restaurant. Would recommend long summer evenings rather than sweltering lunches. Great wines and incredibly good value for money. Best in gozo by a long chalk.

The landscape next to the Ta' Cenc Hotel is dramatic with 200m high steep cliffs dropping down to the sea. Not for anyone with vertigo - scary looking down! The limestone plateau has some interesting pre-historic evidence.

This is a hotel with a dream location - surely of world class. Sadly, the present owners/manager are unwilling to do what is necessary to put this hotel back on track and so it slowly slides into mediocracy with inadequate standards for the clientele it aims at. There can be a few bright sparks, but, in general, there is disappointment... More

Once the new film with Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie is released, the place is getting to get crowded, so go now and appreciate the wild beauty of Gozo in this spot.

This is a beautiful little inlet, sheltered, lovely clear water. It's quite a walk down to the quay where's there an entry and exit ladder. People visit this spot to swim, sunbath, snorkel and scuba dive. There's a great restaurant at the top overlooking the bay that you pass on your way down to the water's edge. I enjoyed diving... Walking all along the cliffs is the best way to explore the coast, you get breathtaking view of the cliffs, but don't be scared of the height !

Good location and views. Our room was a good size with a nice private sitting out area at the back ( NB not available to all rooms I noticed ). Staff were friendly and helpful. Usual niggle about second-rate shower in the bath with erratic temperature delivery ie one moment scalding and the next freezing ! Curious arrangement about the... More

We hiked 3 1/2 hours from Ix Xini, by Ta Cenc, to Xlendi. The hike is great and you go over big hills and by very steep cliffs. I looked for cart ruts here, but they are hard to find. We did find, however, an old burial site, over 5000 years old.

We didn't stay at the Hotel but parked in their car park and walked through the hotel grounds and on towards the cliffs. The area is made up of limestone slabs interspersed with wild flowers most passed their best in September but must be amazing in the spring. The views from the cliffs are spectacular and the drop takes your... More
