I did not see the movie and I only saw a couple of episodes of the cartoon, but I still had wonderful time at the Popeye Village! Should I say that making the short film with another guests of the village was the most fun experience! The guys who work there do the great job entertaining people with the jokes... More

First visit today. It's a lovely little place but does need some tarting up. We took our 9 month old baby so we're visiting with a pram. Not the easiest since the buildings have stairs but manageable. A lot of the buildings were inaccessible today and the children's playarea at the entrance was in disrepair. Having sad that the characters... More

We passed this attraction on the way to our hotel and it looked like it would be worth a visit. We enjoyed the short walk there from our hotel but found the visit very disappointing. The animation team were doing their best but it needs a lot of investment and smartening up. Many of the buildings were not accessible. We... More

After missing the bus from the bay I decided to walk it after being told it would only take 15 mins. More like half an hour. Bearing in mind I had just also walked down from the Village.. It looks lovely and the bay is good for swimming but it is very rocky and was watching people gingerly walking on... More

Although we are old age pensioners and it is geared towards children this was our second visit. We didn't manage the short trip by boat to see some caves as the sea was too rough the first time. Some of the houses inside are being done up as it has got into some disrepair but this doesn't deflect from its... More

My Wife and I visited here at the beginning of October on an overcast day and had such a enjoyable time. Entrance fee was 14 euro each for which you get unlimited time in the village, a free glass of Punch at the bar, a postcard from the village gift shop and a boat trip around the bay (recommended for... I thought this was a really special place to visit, especially with the death of Robin Williams this year. Anchor Bay is beautiful and I can understand why it was chosen for the Popeye film back in the 1970s. Watch the documentary when you arrive – only 15 minutes and well worth the time spent. Yes, things need updating, but... More
