A very nice sandy beach with a promenade with a excellent restaurant. Also there is a possibility to rent a lounger and a parasol. Unfortunately after a mile and a half there is a nudity allowed on the beach.

Great sandy beach past the lighthouse, beward though, the sand can become extremely hot, and you can burn your feet. I understand the beach has won awards for numerous years, but I saw the beach littered with cigarette ends, not nice. Great slowly sloping beach, not too rough sea, so quite kid friendly. Spent a good few days on the... More

This beach was around a 25 minute walk away from our hotel so when we got there all we wanted to do was relax! As usual you pay for your sun lounger here - we paid 7.50 euro for the 2 loungers for the day, which for a couple isn't too bad - can imagine how the price racks up... More

If you visit Maspalomas you will find the locals very helpful and welcoming of visitors. There are lovely walks along the promenade and Lighthouse area where you will find a host of open air restaurants overlooking the sea. There are also some small/medium sized shopping centres. Do be aware around the front and beach for groups of people who approach... More

Lovely sandy beach and dunes that stretched for miles! Super to walk or jog along! Lots of nudists and topless bathers on beach! Lots of waves and warm water.Safe for children!

The beach was not bad, but for swimmers it's a turn off because of the large pebbles on the shore. The sand is dark and really "dusty", but that was not a problem, though we are used to yellow sand. But, being the water quite warm, it was sad not to be able to go for a swim.

There are some good shops and the Faro area (with Moonlight Cinema, small supermarket, pharmacy, bus station & proper restaurants etc) within walking distance. The usual points to watch out for on a holiday beach: be prepared to pay for a lounger or else watch that you don't get burned in the unremitting sun. Tacky expensive shops nearby - OK... More

To many buildings being put up and have spoilt the low profile resort.the access to Maspolomas is great but it lacks a quality beach , saying this there is a fantastic sand dune area if that is your cup of tea.well tired resort past it's best would have been good say 5 years ago
