Large beach with average quality sand. Very windy at times. Not crowded this time of the year. Umbrellas can be hired.

Nice place to visit, but with women from Africa, who chase you all the way to tight a bracelet on your wrist and ask for money. Dies are nice and camel ride.

Beautiful location and soft yellow sand. The massive sand dunes provide a breath-taking backdrop A massive area with plenty of space to get an overall tan. The sea can be choppy but has a gradual safe slope and there are no rocks to worry about. Along the beach front there are several small refreshment huts where you can get a... More

If you like shopping centres there are a lot in Melonares. Not my idea of fun but given the poor weather we had the ladies were happy.

If your heading to the beach be aware that some behaviour in the dunes will probably surprise you. Definitely not a place for kids. The walk along the seafront is fine however.

The day we went, it was really windy. Most of the people there were Germans. In fact, I think the tourist group they get the most are German retirees staying at fancy resorts, since everything (and I mean everything) is translated in German. It's a nice place to go to if you, for some reason, get tired of Las Palmas,... More
