Good shops, but most of all the promenade goes on for (miles )and is a nice walk for a morning. You pass at the back of some of the other big hotels which is nice to see. And there is another complex at the end to have much needed refreshments.

The sand dunes are beautiful to look at, but they're overshadowed by over tourism. Maspalomas is full of lots of cheap bars all hustling you on the street, a lot more rowdy than I would recommend for a couples destination. Dunes are worth a visit, but if you're looking for a good beach and relaxation spot I strongly advise you... More

Very clean - washing facilities free next to the sand, the beach is very long and watched over by life guards.

We went for the experience of walking on the dunes which was great. Avoided the camels and, to extent, the goings on. The beach was packed and the sight of hundreds of people walking up and down did my head in. Different sections on the beach but like many Gran Canarian beaches there are various states of undress. Lots of... More

Beautiful sandy beach. Sand dunes behind easily accessible. (Mindful of seeing nudist sun bathers both male and female and cuddling couples gay and heterosexual) Good workout walking through the sand dunes. You can walk across the dunes or hire camels. Lots of restaurants at either end of the stretch of beach.

we visited this for second time after few years and although it was low season it seemed to have become a tourist trap...of the wrong type. the promenade is a horror show of tacky places to eat..bars...shops selling the usual rubbish. the dunes are packed and noisy. the naturist beach seems to be more of a posers paradise than a... So it's mid May - not even anywhere near the roasting temperatures that happen during Summer. Visit this beach, and just off to the side are the dunes - this, as amazing as it looks - don't get too carried away running after your mates up a dune... The sand is SO HOT even at 5pm. Yes. Even in hi... More
