Best for shops nearby and the local busstation. A 7km long beach walk to playa des ingles starts here through a reservation.

If you visit Gran Canaria, then you must visit the southernmost tip of Europe! This is the place to stroll along the prom, people watch and visit some of the delightful cafe bars and restaurants along the front. Watch out for the ever changing range of entertainers and 'living statues' - some are really excellent. The lighthouse is an interesting... More

Very nice for a stroll, good quality shops and bars. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful sunsets. Particularly liked Funde Grube for make up and perfume.

To the west there are the designer shops, hotels, promenade and well kept gardens. Rocky beach. To the east lovely sandy beach, great safe swinning leading to the vast sand dunes. Plenty of eating and drinking places, shops and pharmacy. Red Cross lifeguards and lots of sun beds. Body boarding great fun.

The lighthouse itself is not very special, just a landmark, pleasant to the eye, but the area surrounding is is quite nice. On the west side lots of nice shops and restaurants, and an attractive ocean promenade, and on the east side the beginning of a large and nice sandy beach. And do take your camera, lots of picturetaking opportunities!

This is a magnificent lighthouse and it stands out when you are in the area. I have visited here twice in the past 3 years and always find the area clean and pleasant.

A few minutes walk from.our hotel along the sea front seems to be the place to people watch. Lots of shops both high end and, normal with street entertainment and the best place to see fabulous sunsets. Restaurants are plentiful and the start of the beach with Sand dunes without doubt a beautiful part of the world
