Faro is a lighthouse area where the most exclusive shops and hotels are located. High prices of course. Take a taxi to the Faro and go to the dunes. Is is like walking in Sahara. This is the number one place in Ingles. Worth visiting and spending a few hours. After the walk go back towards the lighthouse and have... More

It's a lighthouse, best viewed at night because it contributes to the atmosphere on the promenade. Nice, and handy to orient yourself, but hardly the Statue of Liberty or something similar.

I have been visiting this region for a number of years and witnessed the massive development that has occurred over those years. Initially the lighthouse stood alone with a 4* hotel close to it at the end of the Dunes but nothing else; this was probably the 1980s. At that time the beach at the Dunes was like a busy... More

This whole area was very well maintained and was very up market. It was very refreshing not to have people trying to convince you to come into their shops and buy stuff. Great choice of restaurants, bars, and shops. Lighthouse is what it is a lighthouse.

It made me think of the lighthouse in the 90's TV show Round the Twist, it's just a lighthouse you can't go in it, or up to the top, it dose work it flashers in the dark. There is a beech nearby but it's nothing to shout about, the shops are nice but very expensive brands Hugo Boss and La... More

The place is absolutely beautiful. Having done research before arriving in maspalomas this was one place I wanted to see. The lighthouse is surrounded by beautiful restaurants and shops. The beach looked gorgeous and a far cry from the sights of playa del ingles. The shops are very expensive with the likes of Cartier, Lacoste and Ralph Lauren. There are... More

outstanding place with fantastic shops and excellent food outlets, costs a little more than other resorts in Maspalomas, but well worth it

The lighthouse is quite nice to pose for a few pictures in front of it, the area around it is very clean and filled with nice shops and restaurant. Some of the shops are a bit pricey, but it makes for a nice respectable area.

A beautiful place for a walk along the sea front with a large lighthouse. There are many shops to look around and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Worth a visit, but be careful of the 'time share' touts!!!
