Scenic seafront

Very quiet in winter, the sand is a bit sharp but there is a lovely path along the seafront, with plenty of cafes and terrific views.

Circling around old town to get this place was totally worth it. For we spent 6 hrs just sitting and relaxing at a beautiful and clean beach with the castle in the picture as a backdrop....

The sand is too sharp, but the beach is clean and nice. Are few places around from where you can buy drinks, snacks...

Beach was clean but deserted when we visited. It wasn't a sandy beach but a very fine shingle. I would imagine it would be great in the summer!

We took the bus from Barcelona to costa brava (tossa de mar) but it wasn't worth it. To reach the beach you have to pass by the narrow markets. very crowdy and very expensive. Honestly, to stay an get benefit from Barcelona is better.

Tossa de Mar's main beach is made of rough sand and pebbles. Very easy to access and has public toilets at either end. In the summer there is a beach bar and boat trips depart from here to the caves and neighbouring towns. There is quite a steep slope as you near the waters edge so beware if on the... More

We visited Tossa De Mar for 12 days in October and it was shut. Well not quite but not far off. It was hard to find shops open and really I can understand because the weather was terrible. It's just like a seaside town in East Yorkshire. English restaurants were none existent except for Holly's Bar and Mike and Julies.... More

This beach is accessible from the town without taking a car. It is the largest of 19 beaches in the area. It's 430 metres long and 60 metres wide, and it's no surprise that it attracts a lot of tourists. There is a reason why; The silhouette of Cape Tossa and the walled fortifications of the old town situated at... More

One of the best memories when I was a child. Unfortunately too much crowded nowadays. I'd rather go to Wall Street on a business day!. Apart from that you can still feel some small details that tell you this was a typical catalan fishermen village too many years ago, now a touristic center in the Costa Brava. Its Vila Vella...
