The train was good old-fashioned. I enjoyed talking with other passengers from all over the world. The scenery from the window was wonderful. There was a splendid nature like falls, glaciers, and so on.

The Flåm Line (Norwegian: Flåmsbanen) is a 20.2-kilometer (12.6 mi) long railway between Myrdal and Flåm in Aurland, Norway. As a branch line of the Bergen Line, it runs through the valley of Flåmsdalen and connects the mainline with Sognefjord. The line's elevation difference is 863 meters (2,831 ft). It has ten stations, twenty tunnels and one bridge. The maximum... More

The train ride and views are quite enjoyable! If you are travelling in a large group, please be respectful towards couples and solo travelers. Running around the train opening and closing the windows every two seconds and shouting at your friends can be distracting to other travelers. I would strongly encourage anyone visiting the area to relax and enjoy the... More

We were lucky as there was hardly anyone on the train the day we went. We were able to go from side to side checking out the different views.

Covering a distance of 20.2 KM from Myrdal to Flåm passing through the Flåm valley, the construction of the railway line took 20 years to complete. The construction was started in 1923. The trains are heritage style and well kept although not very comfortable. The biggest attraction is the scenic route through which this train travels. It makes a brief... More

IF you are able to take this lift before the sunset period, and it is open skies, it is a memorable event for all. Take your camera and enjoy the sense of our oneness on the planet.

Very well organised and friendly staff. This is a historical railway and I took the train from Flam to Myrdal. The train stops in two places and one is a scenic spot near the water falls. It cuts across the mountains and in Winter every thing was in Black and White (The black rocky mountain and the bed of White... More

I guess this one is a must if you have a day to spend. I recommend my trip that started early with a cruise through the fjords and then the return was with the train. The scenery is lovely and the train is great.
