Longing for silence and tranquility?Do you wonder how it feels relaxing outside your tent, after spending a full day exploring one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes, using the most environmental friendly means of transport ever – the kayak? If you long for some of the above you should check out Njord. We have been guiding people in the outdoors since 1999, given thousands of customers a great day out – or the adventure of a lifetime – kayaking the beatiful fjords of Norway.Western Norway is the area for our activities. Njord specialize in kayak and wilderness adventures, in the fjords and by the North Sea coastline. Just the right amount of time on the water for us The staff were great. The gear easy to use. The "stories" very interesting.

I'd been trying to do a five-day trip with Njord for a few years but their dates never matched with mine. But then, in January, they told me there was one place left on a five-day trip in mid-June and I jumped at it. And I certainly didn't regret it for the trip turned out to be everything that I... I traveled half way around the world to Flam Norway with my family. A kayak trip seemed like a great idea. We had a decent time, but I would have preferred a guide with an accent other than Californian and an attitude other than 'I am too hip to be dealing with you people'. Kind of like visiting a US... my mom and i kayaked out with daniel. he was enthusiastic, patient and had some extra historical tidbits that were well appreciated! this was the first time we visited norway, and the fjords were just really amazing. the water was smooth that day, and yes, the intro to kayaking is lengthy, but some people have never been in a kayak... This was our first time kayaking and I think we chose the best spot, the best day and the best instructor. The fjord near Flam is beautiful (if deciding I would chose this area over the wider parts of the fjords) and we were lucky to have bright sunshine. Britt our instructor was a really lovely girl and a great... More

We were excited about this experience but by the end we were a bit let down. The time allotted is 2 hours. You spend about 45 minutes just getting set up and instructed, kayak for 20, hike for 30 and return by kayak. The guide-some dude from California- seemed experienced with kayaking but had a too cool attitude. Although he... More

This was a great experience. We did the 3-hour Fjord Paddle tour of Aurlandsfjord with our guide Marta. She spoke great English and made the tour fun and also educational as we heard about the history of the beautiful fjord we were paddling in. All equipment is provided and in excellent condition. Could not recommend more highly if your looking... More

We recently did the four hour trip that included a paddle and hike. We loved it. The guides were very knowledgable, the equipment was great, and we appreciated the instruction and safety drills.

I'm still in awe, how this place should be in everybody's bucket list, start hiring kayaks or join one of those tours, hiking trip or kayaking. Definitely you'll love every moment of it especially if the weather is perfect - it was stunningly beautiful.

I was on a motorcycle trip through Norway, and wanted to get a different perspective, i.e. from sea level. So Flam has this train bringing hundreds of people a day, so figured this must be a good place. I found this kayak outfit, and took a 3-hour tour. I didn't do any research and was surprised when the tour took... More
