Checked this place online and it was highly recommendable to see it's nature's best. True enough. Very nice at it's Nature's best. However, construction is being done on the property and we had limited access around the area. Het Zwin is being expanded and it seems it will be a better place to go to. Nevertheless, we walked around the... More

It is amazing place for sea, beaches, beautiful people and their city. You can come from Brussels or Antwerp by train to get down at Knokke or Ostende station. From there you can take sea side tram to go to city or beaches. You can go to Fort Napolean at Ostende and then can come to Knokke also. Here you... More

If you are in Knokke and you are not going to the beach or shopping and you are looking for a nice peace of nature, the zwin is a good alternative. They tried to reintroduce animals in that area, which makes it a nice place for children as well. It's bicycle- and jogging friendly area.

If you want to be near the sea and enjoy the nature do not miss this nature park. The reserve for coastal animals can be discovered by foot or by bike and is magnificent

I visited Het Zwin at countless occasions. As living in Knokke it is at our doorstep. It is rare to find such a nice piece of nature so close to human habitation. It is a perfect place to watch birds. But it is also a great place to walk and come to rest. In summertime it can be rather crowded.

... will never mean a piece of land never touched by humans - you won't have a thing like that in this part of the world. But the authorities did an excellent in re-creating woodlands, meadows and a dune landscape where you had a military airport a few decades ago. The very heart of Het Zwin close to the Dutch... More

We've been here a few times, and if you're there for a coffee, i advise the house coffee (coffee t zwin) as it's really good value for it's price. We've had a light menu here and it was all very tasty - don't expect haute cuisine and you can have a really nice small lunch here.
