All are of one opinion, from Time magazine to wine pope Robert M. Parker: without the glasses of Tirol’s glassmaker, wine wouldn’t taste half as good.

This is a must stop for us when we are in the Tirol area. One can take a tour to see the actual crystal making process and the glass blowers for some of the famous Riedel Crystal. The main shop has all of the newest production style and of course there is the 'outlet' for the pieces not longer produced... More

We were told to go there but a friend who lived in Munich. We found our way by train from Salzburg and when we got there it was fantastic. A must do if you have the slightest interest in glasses.

You can get a tour of one of the most famous glass factories. Also there are 2 stores one retail and one outlet. You can really get some great deals in the outlet.

Fascinating to tour the Riedel glass factory and learnt SO much. How skilled the tradespeople are at their art and to see them creating the glasses and decanters was amazing (& yes, the factory is very warm indeed due to furnaces for melting glass). All staff were polite, extremely helpful and keen to I part their knowledge. English was excellent!... More

Riedel has revolutionized how we think about wine drinking glasses. He did that by touring fine restaurants, having lunch or dinner before his sales talk with the owner, and by - this is crucial - refusing to use the glasses the restaurant had in their stock. Instead he travelled with his own case filled with a selection of his own... More

Reidel Glass is hot as it is hot liquid glass that the artists are making into amazing vases, glasses, pitchers, etc. they also have a presentation diorama that you walk through and learn about your senses. Of course Riedel Glass has a store front where one can purchase firsts, seconds and even thirds. One could go here once a week... More

My husband and I have done the tour, and I absolutely agree with the other positive reviews that it is totally enjoyable and educational and a must do when in or around Kufstein (If you have small children they will also be amazed by the tour). It is amazing to see the craftsmen at work. Each piece of glassware is... More

My husband and I were given tickets to the Riedel Glass factory tour and wine tasting as a honeymoon gift. We didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived there and were greeted by the friendly staff. After spending some time observing the glassblowing on the factory floor (which was very cool, by-the-way), we were... More

The Riedel glass factory in Kufstein is worth a visit, if you are in the greater area, including driving down from Munich. Kufstein is located right on the other side of the border from Germany and if you take the Kufstein exit on the Austrian highway, you do NOT have to buy a vignette (decal) for the Austrian highways. The... More

Our group visited the glassblowing factory. We observed the glassblowing process from a balcony above the factory floor. While the temperature was quite hot, it was very interesting to watch the making of goblets and decanters. The video portion of the tour was a little too abstract and philosophical for me. (The topic was our senses and perception of things).... More
