A wonderful church to visit in the middle of town on your way up to the Acropolis. Exquisite interior oramentation, which, unfotunately, cannot be photograhed.

This is quite an eye opener. It was rather hot during the service in summer but this church is beautiful. I did find the St Christopher Icon rather strange and if anyone can give me more insight into it I am most interested

Do not leave without visiting the church. Beautiful byzantine cruciform church, buil on the ruins of a paleochristianic basilica which was a converted temple of Godess Athena of Lindos, who was also celebrated on August 15th..You are not allowed to take photos of the breathtaking interiour but it is absolutely worth a long stop.

Beautiful little church in Lindos. The ceiling is amazing. Shame that most of the visitors took no notice of the lady trying to keep order and asking that no one took photos.

I remembered this church from my previous visit over 40 years ago and it was a joy to revisit it. Don't forget to look for the image of St Christopher with a dog's head. A beautiful and historic little church with some amazing frescoes.
