Beautiful interior

We were blown away by the frescos inside! Very ornate and lots of gold. It's plain on the inside but when you walk in the door, wow!

Fabulous image of a typical Orthodox chapel. Complete with Gregorian Chanting & Iconostasis, is a wall of icons and religious paintings, separating the nave from the sanctuary in a church.

Absolutely beautiful byzantine church with a distinctive rhodian pebble flooring. Near the door, on the right, you can see Saint Christopher but, surprise, he has a dogs head! If you are lucky and you visit the church on Good Thursday - Friday you will have the chance to see a beautiful epitaph covered in flowers. Girls can enter the church... More

A wonderful church to visit in the middle of town on your way up to the Acropolis. Exquisite interior oramentation, which, unfotunately, cannot be photograhed.

This is quite an eye opener. It was rather hot during the service in summer but this church is beautiful. I did find the St Christopher Icon rather strange and if anyone can give me more insight into it I am most interested

Do not leave without visiting the church. Beautiful byzantine cruciform church, buil on the ruins of a paleochristianic basilica which was a converted temple of Godess Athena of Lindos, who was also celebrated on August 15th..You are not allowed to take photos of the breathtaking interiour but it is absolutely worth a long stop.

Lovely small church in the middle of Lindos village, with the most amazing icon paintings - really worth a look
