You won't regret stepping across, into this sacred church. It is a holy place, not one inch untouched, unplanned, or unnoticed. I felt like closing my eyes and praying. No photos are allowed in the church, although you'll be tempted! Just go and enjoy the sacred holiness this church exudes, even if you are not a Christian, I promise, you... More

The church is like a museum. The inside is beautiful fresco. The church is the most recommendable place in Lindos. When I visited, taking photo was prohibited.

although in the village this is a very old but quaint church all women must have legs and shoulders covered to enter and no photos are allowed to be taken inside but you cannot go to Lindos and miss this real little treasure.

We just popped into this church after visiting the Acropolis and were so glad we did, as this church is unique and so beautifully decorated with colourful wall paintings (many of which are a little 'unusual' for a church). The photos speak for themselves really, but do not miss going inside this little church if visiting Lindos...it is beautiful and... More

This gives a really good impression of a village local church, covered everywhere in detailed paintings telling stories from the bible. It allows you to see how the many ancient frescoes originally looked like. I can imagine the priest telling sermons and pointing to the pictures for the more illiterate. A must if you are in Lindos.

This is the church that we got married at on 18th September 2009, we had a lovely ceremony, and lots of people stopped to watch, the church is very beautiful inside, with lots of paintings.

It is worth doing because it is right on top of you in Lindos. The frescoes are indeed good, but relatively speaking they are new dating probably from 13th/14th C. Want to see some old frescoes, ones that will blow you away with their beauty and their age. Try the museum on Santorini. Frescoes from 14th C BC!!
