After getting off the boat at Lindos we did not know what was going to hit us...the very very long walk up the steep hill to the ruins. In the heat of August it was not pleasant at all, however the view at the top was amazing. It costs €6 per person, which is ok depending on how much time... More

A definite destination not to be missed! The refreshments were affordable and not out to rip you off! Plenty of shops to peruse before the walk up to the monument. There is a donkey option to avoid the walk up which is tough going in the heat but not recommended for the downward journey unless you have nerves of steel.... More

The Acropolis at Lindos was worth the climb but if you're used to well preserved, maintained, and educational ruins then temper your expectations. There is an option to take a donkey up the hill (only up but not down) but we decided to hike it. Make sure you take water and wear good shoes! As long as you are in... More

Cheap entry fee. Beautiful view from the top, particularly of St Paul's bay. Quite high so probably not great if you don't like heights. You can get a donkey ride there and back as it's up quite a big hill. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Was ok for the views, it was very crowded with tourists, didn't go on a donkey to the acropolis, I am very concerned about their welfare one had an open wound where it's muzzle had been rubbing and they looked a bit poor, not good to see overweight tourists on a little donkey, the walk up there is really not... We travelled up by donkey from the square €5 each, when in the acropolis there are very steep stairs no hand rails, we went at 8am to avoid the crowds recommended by our apartments. The stairs were empty on arrival however trying to come down was very scary as open sides would not recommend it for small children or elderly... More

The view from the top is absolutely stunning! Be sure to bring water, something to protect your head, cash and good shoes. Be careful, it can be rough terrain and slippery at some spots on the way. You have to pay 6 Euros for the last part up to the Acropolis, but in my opinion it's worth it! Be sure... More

Very impressive. They started to rebuild some parts of it. The view from the top is breathtaking. The wind as well. They should put a barrier. Some drunk will fall off.

We'll worth the trip to the top. Riding a donkey up is very funny. 5euro from the square each way but I'm not sure I'd ride down. We went in the late afternoon and got great light for taking pictures and panoramas. It is 6euro per person to get in so with the donkeys could be expensive for a family... More
