Visited during our Rhodes holiday last year (2014) and its very impressive! You reach the Acropolis by climbing up through the old quarter of Lindos which is set on a hill side. The walk takes about 30 mins or so and is pretty steep - especially in 40 degrees heat. Take plenty of water and some sensible shoes as there... More

I didn't want to visit it as I thought the "real" Akropolis in Athens is more impressive but my partner said we should, so we paid entry. When we arrived at the top, we had an amazing view of the sea and a little bay - absolutely incredible view and worth to go. A beautiful and peaceful place.

The way up to the Acropolis is a bit difficult if you are not fit. Be sure to have comfortable shoes on. Because there are no safety rails and the ground is not that even it could be dangerous if you are not alert. A kiosk with refreshments & snacks is to be found on the top. I suggest that... More

Really worth a visit just for the historical value! We travelled to the site by Coach. It's a beautiful place and what a view from the Acropolis! Wow! There are plenty of places to eat & drink too. You can catch a ride with one of the Donkeys up to the top if you feel like not walking! Also wear... More

You can visit Lindos either by car, bus or as we did , the best way by boat trip You get to climb through the narrow streets of the old town of Lndos and explore the ancient Greek site of the acropolis. Its great to dare I say try and step back in time to maybe 2 -3000 BC. The... More

The village is lovely with its white houses surrounded by the blue sea. The road to the acropolis is not an easy one. you can reach it on feet; stairs to go up. You'd better be physicslly fit to endure the ascent. otherwise, you can make use of local donkeys. the castle was under reconstruction/renovation. Surrounded by huge walls. Other... More

Go early... Mainly because of the heat but also because from 9am onwards coach loads of tourists come to visit the acropolis. It's a very steep walk. Best to wear sensible shoes not flip flops as it can be slippy and dusty. I think it's about 6-8 Euros but worth it for the views and a bit of culture for... More
