I really enjoyed seeing the old ruins from several eras, it is also a great view from the top where you se both the bay and the beach and the sea around it.

History: a natural citadel which was fortified successively by the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Knights of St John and the Ottomans. Oldest historic remains from 4th century BC. This combined with the amazing views makes it well worth the effort and the 6€/pers.

I first visited the Acropolis 25 years ago and I have noticed recently that they have rebuilt quite a bit. You need wear sensible shoe's as it quite a trek and there are a lot of steps that are worn so a bit slippy. The view once you are up is amazing and well worth seeing. Try to go on... More

It was an uphill climb, it would be very tiring in the summer months. There is a donkey ride for 5 euros if you wish. Well worth the trip up though.

Well worth the 6€ price. Very fabulous views and great history here. The only thing I will say negative is they should consider halting restorations. Some bits look too new.

If you go to Rhodes this is a must see. The acropolis feature ruins from several eras including a ship carved into the rock at the bottom of the steps to the fortification. There are columns and a truly great view of the village below and the coastline. You can get a donkey ride upto the acropolis or down to... More

Went on a lovely boat trip to lindos. Lovely walk up to the acropolis although the girls complained at bit about the heat. But even they admitted the view was worth it. Had a well earned lunch and cold beer and then a lovely swim in the clear blue water. Well worth a visit

We visited in May via a boat trip, defiantly recommend getting a donkey up there as it is a steep walk and make sure you have some grippy shoes as a lot of the floor is slippy. Donkey costs €7 but is defiantly an experience! Costs €6 to get in but the views are amazing! Lots of history to learn... More

Well worth the walk up the hill. Very impressive monument with great stonework and carvings. Also provides great views over a wide area.
