A highlight of Lindos. If you are not able to walk up all of the steps, you can actually trek up by donkey! A must see.

We walked up to the entrance which was much easier than it looks from afar. Then the fun starts . For fit normal adults the whole place is fine just be careful . For any child I would not take any chances and keep them firmly by your side . If you moan about too much health and safety in... More

Visited the Acropolis on a hot day, did'nt really like the Lindos taxi's,they are Donkey's,I'm am sure that they are used to going up and down but not Our cup of tea! We walked to the top and were rewarded with stunning views and great architecture.Much of the Acropolis is being reconstructed to traditional methods We loved it.Don't go too close... More

We walked up (skip the donkey and stop at any spot you want along the way) and got to the Acropolis, enter and walk as high as you can! The view from above is beautiful, you see the bay and the sea near the cliff. Its a nice history lesson mixed with beautiful views and breathtaking well-cared antiques! Worth a... More

With pararamic veiw of the Mediterranean and the white washed houses of lindos town and the buitiful st pauls bay below as your rewarded for either you or your donkeys effort to reach the sumit. Allthough not much structure survives there is reinstating work in progress you get a feel for the history that was once on site

This was another wonderful history lesson. When you arrive in the square of Lindos town you have the option to climb to the Acropolis or travel by donkey for 5 Euro (Lindos taxi). Regardless, once you arrive at the top you are rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding area and many artifacts to explore and learn about.

Lots of steps or take a donkey. Wonderful views. Large crane working there. Information signs used too much historical jargon for the average visitor

Although there are donkeys available @ E5 per trip they are not really necessary unless you have walking difficulties. A pleasant steepish uphill walk either up a good stepped pathway, or a slightly longer steadier climb. Either way the views are great. Entry to the Acropolis was E6 and well worth it. Get there early to avoid hottest time of... More

You can get to the acropolis by donkey or walk up the gentle slope. When you reach the top the views are stunning of the main bay and st Pauls bay. You get a good idea of how the acropolis of minerva used to look and the surrounding nights of st john fort. Well worth a visit.

This was our second time in lindos and having more time this time we decided to take the donkey ride to the acropolis. The ride was fun and the views from the acropolis are amazing, overlooking the town and the bays. The history of the place is amazing and well worth the visit. The ride down on the donkey is... More
