Best place to visit in Kolding, suspect it's even better when it's warm enough to access the grounds. Tour of the summer house was the highlight 2 members of staff showed us around to help with translations, they were excellent Also really enjoyed the temporary exhibition of photographs of pop idols from the 60's onwards

Trapholt is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. The Danish chair exhibit was fascinating. The grounds are beautiful and the views from the sensational looking cafe are great too. Trapholt exceeded our expectations.

We loved the Danish chair exhibit. We also loved Arne Jacobsen's summer house. Furniture, housewares, and textiles he designed are included in his house. I could imagine the famous Danish architect and family relaxed and on vacation. The tour of the house is in Danish, but there are written guides in English and you can ask questions in English as... We have been to the Trapholt many times and we absolutely love it. It is a must. The shop is great, the restaurant is very good and beautiful views. There are always very good exhibitions. A friend of mine went also and she told me about this museum in Denmark that they had been to, which was the Trapholt. She... More

Beautiful settings, great exhibits and the cafe is not bad either (nor the view from the cafe and the garden) - don't miss it if in kolding!

We were delighted to stumble on the Trapholt Museum, which ranks in our minds with the Humlebaek Louisiana and Aarhus ARoS museums. The museum has a long rambling layout similar to Louisiana and has a good variety of contemporary art exhibits. We particularly enjoyed an exhibit of the colorful costumes of Nick Cave's colorful "Soundsuits". There's an outstanding collection of... More

This museum is small, but has amazing exhibitions of Danish furniture and contemporary art, and the surrounding gardens and views of the sea are exceptional. Absolutely delicious if typically expensive lunch in the gem-like cafe.

This is a stunning modern building on a hillside with great views of Kolding fjord - reminds me a lot of the Louisiana museum north of Copenhagen with its views of the Øresund. The collection of art is interesting too, although the collection of modern Danish chairs is what really stands out here. It was also a thrill to see... More

A really nice museum shop, lovely food and really interesting art - All you can wish for in a modern museum. Normally the museum has some a special exhibition, we saw Nick Cave, which was really beautiful. Also the chair exhibition is nice and very Danish because so mane Big danes contribute to the exhibition. If possible go and see... More

In additional to its beautiful fjord view and surroundings, Trapholt is an exemplary piece modern scandinavian architecture. Coat check is DIY, inside the shop. Then go straight to the cafe down the slope to get a feel for the entire museum. The marvelous Fjord view will make your jaw drop, so remember to breathe! Buffet lunch is about Kr 158/person,...
