This place is awesome to take the kids. Plenty of slides, swings, climbing frames, ropes etc, also a maze and mini-golf. You can take pets and there are numerous eating and drinking places. We took a picnic and had an absolutely fantastic day - totally wore our 3yr old out.......she never stopped laughing and smiling all day! Its also free... More

Nice day out with the kids. We went May 1, and while heaving with people, parking was very well organised. Not outrageous prices for food and drink. Actors very good. More

If you're into history, this is the place to visit. Go in summer to enjoy the long walks across this huge terrain when it's bustling with people and you'll find actors everywhere. Or go in december to the winter nights for really special experience. More

It's a fun place where you go back in time. It's located near Genk, but it's easy to reach with public transport (train). The park is closed during the winter. It's a place where you can walk between old elements, a musea in open air! You can visit a school, bakery.. There are some resaurants to eat. More

If you visit Flanders (Belgium), and you're interested in how we lived in Europe in the 'old days', you should take a day to visit this place. The houses are rebuild, keeping the original shapes and looks! Even the people (guards) there are dressed in traditional clothing, and some old arts are shown. More

As I live in the neighbourhood I frequently hop over to this place of silent magic ... A little medieval town in between the two largest cities of the province of Limburg in Belgium. Every year a new theme is introduced : 'smuggling', 'betting games', ... and in 2011 it's 'the 5th Bow'. The 5th bow was a series on... More

Bokrijk is my all time favorite! I came here when I was a kid and now I visit Bokrijk with my own son. I absolutely love the place Bokrijk has a lot to offer : we usually bring a picknick with us and still for a couple of hours. The playground is absolutely wonderful: it has areas for different ages,... More
