Just great to be walking and discovering the old houses, to meet the actors dressed like 200 or more years before... The must is to get dressed like this and let the local photographer take a family portrait with its old camera. The kids loved the tour on the chariot and the old games. The restaurant has a nice terrace... More

The open air museum brings you to another time. Great place for children, Big playground, a lot of festivals in the summer, relaxing in nature and having a meal or cup of coffee.

We arrived here on a beautiful sunny day and decided to amble round the medieval village and its houses, windmill, we thought this was great although my teenagers were a little bored... Until we found the old games to try, stilts and other wooden throwing skills ... Also a go at archery and making some 'love and courage' potions, old... More

My first visit dates back to the seventies, and many visits have followed, the latest on May the 1st of this year, actually triggered by a "side show" event centered around gardening. After a kind of a "dip" during the nineties, due to lack of funding, when the little money had to be spent on replacing mouldy timbers, and planned... More

Wonderful domain with a massive, free playground that your kids will enjoy for hours. New areas with a small maze and a fun circuit for older kids. Different resaurants with plenty of food and drink options. Large area for a leisure walk. Well maintained paths. Open air museum (entrance fee). Parking costs 5 Euros per vehicle for the day. Our... The museum did not catch my imagination. The houses are old and dark and the interiors are full of old and dirty stuff. We did like the beautiful nature, the great playground for kids ( maybe the biggest in belgium). So forget about the museum and take a nice walk in the area, visit the arboretum and playground.

Great place to spend the day. Enjoyed going back into time and admiring the architecture of centuries ago. The place has amazing potential but it has been let go a little. It is in need of some updated signs and explanations. But even with that the price was well worth the experience.
