I have visited a number of times before, on this occasion 14 September 2014 we were very disappointed with the unfriendly welcome and how we were told we have to pay $10 wine tasting fee. The person behind the counter (not the owner who is always great) I think was the cook, was not friendly and not welcoming, total polar... More

We were really surprised to read your review as the gentleman you are referring to has always been friendly, welcoming, accommodating and well liked by our customers. The $10 tasting fee you mentioned is refundable upon a bottle being purchased and has been introduced recently for groups of 6 or more people. As the tables near the toy area had... More

Really disappointed with our visit today. Our group has been here many times and always bought wine. Today we were made to feel completely unwelcome by the man serving at the cellar door. He clearly was unimpressed we came as a group (9 adults) with a few small children. No idea what his problem was but ended up putting most... More

Very sorry to hear of your comments about your recent experience at our cellar door. It was surprising to read as our staff member you are referring to has always been very welcoming and friendly towards our visitors. We do hope to see you again. More

We booked a table for 12 people. Did order and had to wait our order for more than 2 hours. When food arrived regardless we were starving already, just a few of us had finished they dishes. My food looked like 2nd day leftover... will not recommend

Thank you for your feedback Yulia. We too are disappointed to hear your comments. Your group of 10 made a booking for 1.30pm and decided to begin with wine tastings at the bar. After wine tastings several of your friends then ordered a cheese platter and a tasting plate, requested as an entree. When these entree's were finished the main... More

We went here for Sunday lunch for my husbands birthday. We arrived early so I could enjoy some wine tastings. Excellent friendly service and I tasted all the wines I wanted. It was a cold wet day and we sat next to the fire whilst we perused the menu. We both opted for the sausage and mash which did not... More

I was organising a romantic getaway for my fiance's birthday and found this fabulous place which makes beautiful organic wine, grows organic vegetables on the farm and serves the most delicious food I have had in a very long time. Given I have numerous allergies, I rang ahead to see if they could accommodate this (even if it was steamed... More

I had read up on Captain's Creek and was curious to visit. We arrived on a cool rainy autumn day and opened the door to a fabulously cosy and welcoming bar/restaurant. We were greeted with such enthusiasm and warmth that we decided to stay for a tasting and lunch and soak in the atmosphere. The owners are delightful and so... More

We really enjoyed the Antipasto Plate and the Cheese Platter, which we had to share between 3 of us. The Pinot Grigio went well with the food, and is light and easy to drink, but with plenty of flavour. It was busy on the deck, so we sat inside. On a fine day try to come early and sit on... More

I had met owner Doug May at the Daylesford's Farmers market, and had already tried his very good, organically-grown Pinot Noir, and was curious to visit the winery and have lunch there. We were a group of eight friends out for the weekend, and we were all impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, andwere truly treated to some fresh... More
