We spent more than four hours at Kings Landing and visited all the buildings there. The role players were extremely knowledgeable about the time period and performing the tasks of their characters. They took the time to do demonstrations and answer any questions we had.

A bit of walking, but lots to see. Guides are very informative. Would have liked to spend more time there, but we were on our way home...

If you are in the Fredericton area and love history, this is a place you have to experience! This museum replicates life along the river in the 1800s. There are plenty of buildings to explore and a lot of villagers that talk about their lives in the village. There are a lot of live exhibitions and projects to see as... More

This was my first time at the settlement and it was dark when I arrived so I really cannot comment on the location itself. We had booked in as a group of 8 for the themed Christmas dinner and it was a very nice experience. The atmosphere was relaxing and quaint. The staff were wonderful and everyone was dressed in... I had not heard anything about this but we saw this on a map and decided to stop in. It is a many acre natural history museum with living narrators to tell the story. They assume the history of the owners of the home and tell the visitor how they lived. There are about 19 houses, an inn and a... More

If you have a spare day or few hours before you head to Fredericton, this is worth a visit for first time travellers

I'll be honest, I had pretty low expectations for this afternoon trip to Kings Landing with our family. I thought with the walking and the history it would be more of a "grown up" attraction but the kids (7 and 9) loved it! The school house is a MUST and there is a house where the kids can dress up... From Farming the land by hand, to print shop, wood mills, animal drawn equipment.school, Barn dance, youname it it was there. Along with Actors... More

Excellent job in capturing the flavour of the late 1700's through early 20th century. Numerous home, churches, farm buildings and stores on the grounds adjacent to the St John river. Persons dressed in period costume in most of the buildings give the visitor an understanding of life in that time. Takes about 3 hours and is very educational. About $13... More

I had the opportunity to go as an adult chaperon on 2 school trips from Washburn, Me. Everything involved from the entrance to the exit was so worth the time and effort at watching the children, and taking in the history will not ever be forgotten. This group of employees work extremely hard to engage the past time with the... More
