We saw several historical villages on our recent trip to Canada and the US, but this was one of the best. The staff are divided into interpretive guides, who will answer your questions and talk to you about the settlement, and costumed actors who do everything exactly as they would have in the nineteenth century, from women working in the... We visited Kings Landing on September 21, 2014 and only had two hours. That was barely enough time to see everything, and not enough time to discuss the trades with all of the costumed tradesmen. Almost every building was occupied with folks in period dress who acted as though they belonged in the 1800s. The carpentry shop and print shop... More

While staying in northern Maine, we looked around at different things to do and realized we weren't oo far away from New Brunswick, and Kings Landing. This place has different set-ups in their 'village'. Some homes are set up as museum, where you see some artifacts and learn about 1800's life. Some buildings/home are like stories, villagers are portrayed and... More

Kings Landing was a great place to visit. We were there for about 3 hours and wished we had allotted more time. I loved the costumed people and had fun talking to them about their lives in that period of time. The grounds are beautiful and one house had lovely gardens of which a photo is now the screensaver on... More

I'm originally from NB (living in Ont.) I had been there as a child so I told my family about it and they agreed to check it out. Wow, forgotten how much I liked it. The kids LOVED being able to get close and pet the animals, Great interaction with the staff with talking about the history of various houses/farms.... More

The gift shop is stacked with souvenirs, books depicting the times and local artists. This place is a nice stop and has an official New Brunswick tourist guide to answer questions and take-away brochures.

We took the family up. my boys are 5 & 7. They loved it checking out all the different the villagers do on as daily basis. Great educational and eye penning experience for the kids. They are amazed at how people used to life. Would highly recommend going.

We loved every moment of our visit to Kings Landing! You really do get swept away and caught up in the days gone by. We started our journey visiting the local carpenter and then meandered our way through the various homes and buildings that were either filled with families (in character) or a tour guide. We were very fortunate to... More
