Beautiful and unique spot.

Unless you physically can't climb up and down the steps (and the rocks at the bottom) you shouldn't miss this.

First of all, this place is beautiful. I can't stress that enough. The view from the stairs is glorious and well worth the time to get there (by foot, by pedal or by vehicle). The steps don't actually take you to the underlying beach but to the top of rocks that you have to traverse down to get to the... More

My husband and I rented a moped and drove to the Bluffs. The view was incredible. You have to descend down wooden stairs AND we used a rope to navigate over a small rocky slope to get down to the beach. The beach is pretty and we noticed that everyone who visits builds a rock sculpture on the beach.

Relatively an easy walk from the ferry. Make sure you have water and good walking shoes with you. Once you get to the bluffs the trip down can be quite tricky and the hike back up will make you legs ache but oh so worth it!

This is a must stop for a trip to Block. The hike up and down the steps is strenuous and the rock climb is precarious, but its worth the effort. The beach is beautiful and the view from the top is picturesque.

Our party of four broke into 2 groups: one adult and school aged kid went on bikes and the other parent and preschooler walked for almost 2 miles (30 minutes). We met at the Southeast Lighthouse (the bikers had already climbed the tower) and went to the stairs at the cliff. We decided that the stairs were too much for... More

Wonderful beach! For able-bodied only as the trail down includes many stairs, leading to a rope, leading to a scramble down the rocks. But once you're on the sand it's gorgeous. Our favorite on the island. Great waves (fairly mellow but fun to jump in ) and clay cliffs that give you a spa treatment on the cheap. Beautiful cliffs... More

I read many reviews before we visited Mohegan Bluffs. I decided that climbing down the rocks would be ok and I could do it. I have to say it was a bit sketchy for me. My children loved it and were fine. I needed to really take my time and be very careful. We wore sneakers for better traction. It was... More

We took the high speed ferry into Old Harbor and then walked along Spring Street to the Bluffs. It's just about 2 miles, but our 12, 10 and 8- year- olds were fine with the walk. There was a couple very nice local kids selling lemonade the some homemade souvenirs on the way, which was a bonus. Yes, the stairs... More

This is my favorite place to visit on Block Island. The view is one of the prettiest I've seen and I have been to many places including Bermuda, the south of France, Cancun and the Caribbean. We rode our bikes there which is a tough ride because of the hills but well worth the reward. The stairs also end before... More
