We had a day out with the grandkids at Calderglen park. We all enjoyed the venture with plenty of exotic and colourful display of plants and enjoyed our walk round the animal enclosures, where we had a good view of the animals. We also enjoyed a light meal at the café. Would recommend a visit here, more so if the... More

It is possible to spend the whole day in Calderglen, we visited on a sunny day and spent a lot of time walking round the park, as well as visiting the small 'zoo' which was cheap to get into and we both enjoyed seeing the animals. There are also benches and tables to sit at if you bring a picnic... More

Great hike! I love being outdoors, especially in Scotland. It did not matter that it was snowing heavily my last visit, a 4 mile hike was quite enjoyable. The trails are clean and scenic and dog friendly

This is a truly great place. We took our kids, who loved it, we are now taking our grandchildren l The whole ambience is very peaceful , the small animal zoo is wonderful , although no ponies !. The area with the bandstand is excellent, offering a place for impromptu children's dancing! Very good tea-shop as well.

Took my 2 year old granddaughter for a visit today and wasn't disappointed, price to get entry to the zoo was absolutely nothing & was perfect for our little 1, beautiful pathways to walk through on a nice sunny day like today passing through inside exoctic plants and few animals, fish, snake. Popped to the cafe for bite to eat,... More

This was a fantastic experience comparable with the Durrell Zoo in Jersey, obviously on a smaller scale! I was very impressed with the standard of exhibitions and information on this site. The layout was sympathetic to the surroundings available and there was an obvious sense of care for the wildlife, flora and fauna on show. Well done East Kilbride! The... More

Plenty of attractions and diversions for the kids, both indoors and outdoors. Play and picnic areas, riverside walks. Food is available on site, but just outside the park is a Crown Carvery with its bargain meals. We travel some miles to enjoy this park.

I absolutely love animals and so when I found out about this place I had to visit. And since my first visit a few years ago I have been back several times because for the money this place can't be beat. It's a measly £1.10 per adult to get in to see a host of different animals. You start off... More

Quite a few of the paths have warning notices posted as parts of them are closed. Thought this work would have been done while the park was still quiet.
