Fabulous little cafe in the heart of the park. Being a mum with a young baby it's refreshing to go somewhere buggy friendly plus fabulous staff. The cafe is also good for a quiet cuppa to catch up or a family day out. Food fab, lots of variety and well priced and presented. The chief will ensure you are happy... More

Visiting family and we took my little grandson to the park and zoo. The weather wasn't great so just a visit to the zoo. Very good value for £1.30 per adult and child free. Decided to have lunch at the cafe. Had the soup and sandwich option. Spicy tomato soup and a cheese and ham toastie, both excellent and the... More

We were visiting family in Glasgow over the weekend and took our grandson to the park. We only had time to visit the small zoo (inside and out) and were very impressed. The animals are clearly well cared for and the whole place was very clean and tidy. At only £1.30 for adult admission it is certainly the best value... More

I had decided to go to Calderglen with a few friends and our babies (mummies club) for a walk and a cuppa. The weather wasn't great and decided against taking the prams through the nature trails. Usually when we go to places you can almost see the staff roll their eyes as we each help each other inside and our... More

This local park has it all, open space, woodland, river, zoo, cafe and beautiful house. You can walk down by the river and here is a couple of bridges which allow you to walk in a circle. Great for a day of contemplation.

A great place for walks on well maintained paths. Also good for spotting wildlife. A real taste of rural Scotland in the Midland Valley. The River Calder is impressive.

Calderglen is a nice place for families and children. Grandparents out for a walk and it is a great place for walking your dog. There is challenging 18 hole golf course and you can walk for miles comlaintsalong the nature trail. There are a couple of couple of complaints though .... part of the walk round the nature trail has... More
