Good day out for family

This park has a few attractions that are aimed not just at the family but couples as well. The long wooded walks, Golf course and kiddies zoo. Well worth a visit

This is a truly great place. We took our kids, who loved it, we are now taking our grandchildren l The whole ambience is very peaceful , the small animal zoo is wonderful , although no ponies !. The area with the bandstand is excellent, offering a place for impromptu children's dancing! Very good tea-shop as well.

Took my 2 year old granddaughter for a visit today and wasn't disappointed, price to get entry to the zoo was absolutely nothing & was perfect for our little 1, beautiful pathways to walk through on a nice sunny day like today passing through inside exoctic plants and few animals, fish, snake. Popped to the cafe for bite to eat,... More

This was a fantastic experience comparable with the Durrell Zoo in Jersey, obviously on a smaller scale! I was very impressed with the standard of exhibitions and information on this site. The layout was sympathetic to the surroundings available and there was an obvious sense of care for the wildlife, flora and fauna on show. Well done East Kilbride! The... More

Plenty of attractions and diversions for the kids, both indoors and outdoors. Play and picnic areas, riverside walks. Food is available on site, but just outside the park is a Crown Carvery with its bargain meals. We travel some miles to enjoy this park.

I absolutely love animals and so when I found out about this place I had to visit. And since my first visit a few years ago I have been back several times because for the money this place can't be beat. It's a measly £1.10 per adult to get in to see a host of different animals. You start off... More

Quite a few of the paths have warning notices posted as parts of them are closed. Thought this work would have been done while the park was still quiet.

Green space and fresh air right on my doop step - me and the dog just love it. Can wander for hours, rain, hail or shine - walk away for the main paths and find the beauty of mother nature is my advise.

We live in EK and visit Calderglen fairly often (with the dog for a walk or without the dog to walk around the zoo etc). My husband booked the Wild Breakfast at the zoo which was excellent. Essentially the zookeeper (Natalie) took us round some of the animals (Coatis, eagles, burrowing owls, wildcats, meerkats etc) and we fed them their... More
