The beach is in artificial sand and always packed. Not really a beach actually. Nice bay however close to all the hotels.

A great dissapointment - nestled between paceville and various hotels this man made beach appeared dirty, but very crowded. There was a strong smell of effluent as well - not pleasant

The water is very nice - calm, clear and nice colors all over the bay. Plenty of little aquatic creatures swimming around to see.. About the Jellyfish - saw the small purple ones. There weren't many at all but after a night with lots of incoming waves there were a few. Pretty to look at, got stung by one while... More

St George's Bay used to wonderful but in recent years it has become the entertainment capital of Malta (in every sense of the term) and is exceedingly busy, noisy and run down in places. It is fine if you are looking for busy streets packed with tourists, bars and cafes, and nightlife. It has a sandy beach but that too... More

There was absolutely nothing to commend the Resort apart from a few select restaurants serving good food. The whole ambience of the place is of being utterly rundown, even though there is a relatively new shopping precinct with brand names, when you come out you are in the thick of the general seediness of the place.

There was a very small, but nice sandy beach. It gets a little crowded, so you need to find a place to stay. The water is not that perfectly clean, but is ok for a refreshing swim.

Small (sandy) beach so it might be a problem to find a place to sit. Close to the shops and bars, 5min from main bus stop. Water was fine.

Good spot for a swim with plenty of restaurants close by, more lively than Valletta and suits a younger more active traveler.

Good night life but if you are travelling without young children, good bars & clubs around. You can take the bus to the city centre during the day to see Churches, Castle and other historic places.
