There was absolutely nothing to commend the Resort apart from a few select restaurants serving good food. The whole ambience of the place is of being utterly rundown, even though there is a relatively new shopping precinct with brand names, when you come out you are in the thick of the general seediness of the place.

There was a very small, but nice sandy beach. It gets a little crowded, so you need to find a place to stay. The water is not that perfectly clean, but is ok for a refreshing swim.

Small (sandy) beach so it might be a problem to find a place to sit. Close to the shops and bars, 5min from main bus stop. Water was fine.

Good spot for a swim with plenty of restaurants close by, more lively than Valletta and suits a younger more active traveler.

Good night life but if you are travelling without young children, good bars & clubs around. You can take the bus to the city centre during the day to see Churches, Castle and other historic places.

the beach area was busy but swimming in the waters was great. Lots of water activities on offer but pricey. Kids did kayaking for 1 hour as it was the cheapest but they absolutely loved it, giving us a break for 1 hour. Night time full of people flocking to have picnic with family, young children playing & the old... More

It's really an urban/city beach, and they are generally not the best kind, and it is somewhat shabby&skimpy-but it serves it's purpose for the city dwellers. There is plenty going on visually round&about to keep your interest;comings&goings of boats in the bay,and views over to the opposite side. What a pity so many of these possibly picturesque outlooks are ruined by the ubiquitous crane,which... With my husband, we visited St. George's Bay the first day we arrived in Malta. From what he had read on Tripadvisor, we expected to see a really awesome beach. However, St. George's Bay is just a small beach, not at all organized (meaning that you will not find an umbrella or sunbeds), and if you want to drink a... More

A small beach in the bay, frequented mostly by sun-seekers in their late teens and twenties. Good vibes. Lots of watersports on offer. The sea is clean and clear, the sand is quite gritty and a little dirty but the overall experience was a good one. Loads of restaurants and shops nearby for other things to do.
