Very busy and loud, plenty of bars. Who said malta was for old people? Lots of bars, restaurants. Loud music
Try Luke's takeaway, good food, good value. There are many restaurants and pubs near by. A great place for families in the day and lively in the night, seems safe- apparently there isn't much crime in Malta (as we were informed by nearly every local we spoke to!). There is a supermarket tucked away just above the main stair way.
Steps were broken and it is a little on a hill but it has everything you could want close by. Beach was a little small but still beautiful. Many shops and different foods all around so you don't have to travel far.
In the day this is a good place to get out and about and have a good nose in the shops, eateries, little family pubs dotted here and there in the small streets and roads but then there are busy main roads with malls on that contain well known international brands and coffee shops and little tourist shops ideal for... This is the party capital of Malta. Hugos bars and nightclubs, at least 3 Gentlemen Clubs. If transiting through the area around 0730 watch... More
It's basically a huge flight of steps with bars either side, quite steep. Some open all day but most about 10pm to 4 am.
Paceville is very much for the party animals. If you want loud and lively this is the place to be. Mornings after the night before are not pleasant, with the streets littered with rubbish and broken glass. Full credit to the locals who do a fantastic job cleaning the place up
Paceville well what to say. Its like all those brits abroad programmes you see. Full of drunks staggering around, seedy strip joints, tourist junk shops and grotty. A bit like Blackpool. Sad to see really as other parts of Malta (indeed just down the road in St Jullians) is quite nice, it seems sad that these places become overrun with... More
Yes, nightlife is loud but lively and fun to be in even if you are not drinking. When we wanted to sleep we went back to the Hotel Intercontinental (in the heart of the bars) and closed our windows. Good sound proofing. There is such a large variety of shops, boutiques and restaurants you would never have to leave Paceville.... More
