Heureka science centre is easy to reach by train from Helsinki (nearest station: Tikkurila plus 5 minute signposted walk) and well worth the trip. The entrance fee is quite pricey so you may want to stay the day to make it worth your while. Plenty to see and do, decent cafeteria and yummy ice cream on offer! Children will love... More

From a child's point of view, this attraction is probably worth five stars. However, as an adult I couldn't help but think that there wasn't enough to do and see in four exhibition halls. Wandering around the main area (not including planerarium or other extra activities) took only two hours and we felt little bit like "is that all?" Children... More

Didn't have to say even at once, that "Don't touch that" since there were a lot of things to try and test for the kids! If you are interested in science, then go here! While the kids try and test everything, you can learn more about physics and science meanwhile. There are explanations of all the little things there on... More

Various exbitions are at very high level. I recommend it for a visit even it is far away from Helsinki centre. We even kept one birthday party there. The program (chemistry for children) was very good. The science shop is interesting too. The restaurant is the only minus. It is very expensive even for finnish standards, so best to bring... More

We caught the train from Helsinki and had to ask directions as centre is not visible from railway station although we were told it was. Loved it and could have spent a few more hours here but it was getting late. The basketball rat show was very entertaining although we couldn't understand a word the woman was saying and no... More

I live in Finland and when I was a kid, I loved going to Heureka. There is so much to do and see. The theme also changes which is fun.

I have been to this attraction in the form of a class excursion in 1994. Of course many changes have taken place there since then, I'm sure. I remember the science theatre, the Verne theatre, the science store, the cable bicycle, the scenic elevator and all the Macintosh SE and Macintosh LC computers as well as some PC's. The scenic... A sciencepark near Vantaa- river. This is the place where you can make familiar science easy way. Test, watch, have experiences. I strongly recommended you to visit this place if you come Finland by plane near after lunchtime. Eat first nearby in Tikkurila restaurants.

Although living in Helsinki, I had never visited this place before, and decided to do this with our 3-year old on New Years day when almost everything else is closed. The building looks very big from outside (expected something more of the scale one usually gets in Finland ;-) ), but inside there is only one floor, with 4 separate... More
