We visited here for a enjoyable couple of hours, we came here with a different perspective from the others who use to visit as it was our first time. Don't be put off from coming because numerous PUBLIC footpaths take you around and you still get to see many of the statues and follies from a distance:) we enjoyed it... More

Understood that it was an attractive oasis in the midst of a generally built up area so as I lived within 10 miles I went to visit. Complete waste of time. The small parking area was shut and locked and any surrounding roads are masked as private parking or are main roads that you can't stop on anyway, so parked... More

As Trey has pointed out it is now a members club with no room for new members, what an awful attitude. For some reason they have decided to lock it to make sure members of the public don't become interested in the environment and the species it is trying to protect.. Making an Arboretum into an exclusive members club is... More

We have lived in the area since 1999 and have had many years of wonderful enjoyment in the arboretum, taking friends, family and visitors to such a fantastic experience which the Major had left as a public pleasure. Then when the Major died something changed and what was such an open enjoyable natural space was turned into a controlled environment... More

Windlesham Arboretum used to be a beautiful place. Now overgrown and uncared for with fences, signs and locked gates everywhere. The trees are very average nothing of any rarity. Save your time it is not worth a visit.

The Arboretum is private property & has been fenced off to keep the public from ruining it. It is an Arboretum with some rare trees that need protecting, not for youths to hang around carving their names into the bark or leaving their rubbish after a drinking session. This is not a public park nor a public place of interest.... More

I used to come here often 3-4 years ago. Just moved back into the area and I was so delighted driving past the other day, I thought yes let`s go see that little chapel again and the lakes. I took my 2 toddlers too , telling them all about what they are going to see , yeah well I almost... More

I used to love walking around here. But now there is nowhere to walk and it looks like everything is being closed to members only. It is a shame I understand that it costs money to keep but is not worth paying a year membership if I only visit once or twice a year. I suggest a ticket system to... More

There is no denying that this lovely attraction has gone through many changes, but is now startiung to look good again, there seems to be much more emphasis on attracting wildlife by leaving the medows uncut, this chnages the appearance but attracts alot more insect life like butterflies and moths. You can still walk on all the public footpaths but... More
