Our trip to Asia was to see the most beautiful gardens in the world and this one was our favorite after traveling 6 weeks Thailand, Malaysia and China looking at gardens. Flowers were everywhere and the landscaping was excellent. The setting high in the mountains setting made the garden even more lovely. If you like gardens and especially flowers this... More

California Reviewer: If you're from Ca and you are hoping for exotic flowers - Orchids, etc. You'll be disappointed -it was filled with very common flowers to southern California. If you're looking for inspiration for your personal garden - definitely check it out. I had truly hoped for my eyes feeding on new wonderful sites and it was very beautiful... More

If you're already going to the Royal Villa, this is a beautiful garden to walk through. There were several plants that are only from this area. Truly unique.

This is a must-see stop! The gardens and the nearby Royal Villa are absolutely stunning. The gardens are carefullty tended and have supported the disadvantaged hill-tribe people from the area. Also see the local craft stalls, where authentic gifts and local produce may be purchased.

I enjoyed myself here. The plantings were arranged very well. I liked the pitcher plants and flower beds. Nice place to enjoy a taro icecream

The Royal Gardens at Doi Tung are a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature in bloom. The gardens are changed with the seasons so there is always a flood of color. There are both formal and informal gardens and a walk will take you through them all. The orchid house contains some of the rare and unique orchid... More

It is about 50k outside Chiang Rai City. So glad we went. The gardens were perfect and was broken into sections with different themes. The admission fee was fair and well worth it. Take the time to go up Doi Tung and you won't regret it.

We visited in Summer therefore, many flowers do not bloom yet but the landscaping and scenery is quite astonishing. You felt relax with all the garden and natural environment. This made you forgot all the hectic things behind. It seem like you were in another world. It was a sunny day but you did not feel any heat at all.... More

If you love flowers like I do, you'll love the Mae Fah Luang Garden topping Doi (= Mt.) Tung. It rambles up and down - and up and down - the mountain side, and can be a different floral experience at different times of the year, as it is seasonally replanted. I've been there in December and also in February.... More
