It was a cool evening as we met at the Copthorne. It looked like it is going to be a full van. A nice mix of kiwis and expats and visitors. Our two guides matua Bill and Matthew welcomed us with a typical local humour - I love it. The tour, I like to call it insight, through the walkways... More

We had a most unique and unforgetable experience with Bill and Matt from Footprints. We learnt so many interesting things and shared a spiritual connection. They were open hearted, caring, entertaining and witty. It was wonderful to see the respect and devotion they had for Gaia...mother earth. I felt so at one with the environment that night. thankyou!... Susie More

We booked the Waipoua trip because of the great reviews and after 7 weeks of travelling in NZ and seeing lots of beautiful things, we can say that this trip is definitely in our top 3! With the information, stories and Maori singing it was a spiritual and interesting experience. Wouldn't have want to miss it, so thanks Kuru! Sabine... More

Taking the tour at night under a billion stars, listening to the Maori guides sing and tell the story of the trees was like a spiritual experience. More

A school party of 30 trail blazing 10-13yr Olds fresh out of Auckland in search of there connection with their Maori heritage will never forget the year they experienced the wonders shown to them in the twilight evening as they journey through the Waipoua forest.Guided every step of the way by an amazing & very knowledgeable man from history of... We had a very good trip to the Kauri trees with a nice Maori guide. We saw the trees by night and that was almost a spiritual experience with Maori songs and music. To see the trees at daytime it is great, but at night is more special - due to the guide. We can recommend this trip! More

A truly wonderful experience, if you don't do anything else in New Zealand, you must do the twilight encounter. It's the most magical and spiritual experience - all credit to Koro & Bill. More
