First sight of the river and i was disappointed. Travelled for 6-7hours just to see a greenish hue of the water. But as time passes, the color changed to its vibrant blue and i was enchanted. The river is really nice. However, the current is quite strong and you will have a hard time swimming. Fish feeding at 12noon is... More

we had this backpack trip and tried spending the least we can. we decided to take the longer and more tiring way to hinatuan. we arrived by noon after travelling by bus from davao city for around 5-6hours plus a motorbike drive from the town proper to enchanted river. there were too many people and we got no cottages nor... The supposed highlight is the fish feeding at noon - it is unnatural since the fish were trained to come in to be fed.

The part that is open to the public is the narrow mouth of the river that leads to the open sea. The current is strong so its good to rent a life vest. You have to descend steps to get to the river- most young people loved jumping into the water. Its difficult to cross back and forth because of... More

After a long and bumpy ride we finally get to see the much rave about "Enchanted River". It's my first time to see a river so clear and yet so blue. The water is brackish so I assume that it's close to sea. At 12noon, all the guests were asked to stay off the river as the fish started to... More

If you have visited Tinuy-an Falls, Enchanted River is definitely the next destination in your Surigao itinerary. The river is crystal clear and the ones you see in the pictures is what you get. To get here though, it's another story. The road is rough and unfriendly to small-sized cars, especially when it rains. They relocated the parking area to... More

When I was much younger, my dad would bring us here as his hometown was Port Lamon; 45 minutes further North of this place. We used to go past here just to check it out and there would be no one. Now it's packed with tourist, I suggest get there very early in the morning...but the best time to go... More

Rough road. Good but too crowded. Fish feeding is ok - nothing to rave about. Small area jampacked with tables and cottages, people staying at steps leading to river. With the fee they get from local & foreign tourist, surely they can improve their toilets - at least. More work needed for tourists.

Enchanted River is great and worth the visit. However (and this is a common observation of the whole region) there was no explanation of the activities of the day. We didn't know about the feeding of the fish, the music which fish came up for at 3. We jumped on a pump boat with the only explanation that we were... More

Most breath taking place to be! Very beautiful! We also took a beach hopping boat tour that was being offered. Life jackets are available and there are a few seating areas. There is also a certain time or hour where music will come on and a bunch of fish will arrive! I think it was their feeding song!
