Beach 69 is a fabulous beach. It has plenty of trees near the water so you don't have sit in the sun. It's not nearly as crowded as Kua Bay and Hapuna. Most of the people on the beach are locals. There are changing facilities. Many people leave during the day and head to nearby eateries like Cafe Presto and... More

The trees mean you won't burn and sweat all day plus they are gorgeous. There is awesome snorkeling and the warm, clear water makes you want to stay in all day for swimming. There were great bathrooms and showers, though no food available. We saw all sorts of fish and primarily snorkeled the northern portion of the cove and beyond... More

Our group was invited by some local friends to meet them here. A few of us snorkeled and the rest played in the sand or relaxed. The snorkeling was great and we followed a turtle around and watched him east. My vehicle was the first one there when they opened and the conditions where pristine. As we where leaving about... Very scenic beach and better snorkeling then Hapuna but the $5 parking and the localism of the beach makes you feel a little out of place. If you snorkel to the north and look at the beach you'll see some people still prefer it a nude beach....

Beach reviews to me all depend on whether you like to bake in the sun or like shade. I prefer shade, and this beach has it, with many great places to set up a little area for yourself and the family. If you like baking, you can do that too. The snorkeling was great, the reef is beautiful with tons... More

This white sand beach is one of my favorite beaches in the world. The waters of Kona are clean and clear. Beautiful coves and tree's on the beach.

While we have been to Hapuna too many times to mention , somehow we never made it here. .. right next door . What a wonderful treat. Gorgeous beach. Lots of shade. Walk out into water.... and snorkel to your hearts delight. Tons of fish. A honu if you are lucky. Don't miss this gem of a beach.

Beach 69 is a public park well known to locals for its great snorkeling and white sands - we arrived in early afternoon and it was a bit busy, but there is plenty of space away from the entrance. Snorkeling is great in the calm, clear water - perfect for our kids ages 6 and 9!

Locals told us this would be a good place to snorkel and it was. We arrived mid to late morning and the water was clear and calm. We enjoyed surface snorkeling near a rocky area and were amazed at all the fish we were able to see without venturing far from the shore. After we had been there a while... More

This was our favorite spot with shade and snorkeling. Small enough to watch young children. Water can get rough if not a good swimmer. Bring a small boogie board or swimming floaty to help snorkel in the rough waves.
