Beautiful white sand beach, good place to chill out. The water is clear and depending on the day the waves can be small or big. Saw one turtle the day we went and really no fish to speak of, so not really a snorkeling spot. Slight hill to get to the beach, we opted to not rent chairs since we... More

Beautiful white sand beaches; big waves and great body surfing. So much fun! Not crowded and great parking. $5 to enter as it is a state park.

This is a place to RELAX and unwind. There wasn't much surf when we went, but the visibility in the water was unreal. It was so clear. NO rocks, no seaweed, a few fish, but not the best snorkeling. Bring an umbrella if you want shade.

A beautiful white sand beach, with facilities and lifeguards. Parking $5 per day is well worth it. Very few shady spots (the ground around the trees are full of thorns- don't walk barefoot)- but chairs, umbrellas can be rented on the spot). The surf can be wild- still safe- and great for boogie boards- Teens will love this surf- Not... More

Located adjacent to the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, this is a public beach that fills up early. There is ample parking and facilities and is a calm beach for children. Bring umbrellas - or you'll be envious of the white umbrellas and blue cabanas used by the patrons of the nearby Prince Hotel.

Favorite State Beach on Big Island! Hands down. Yes, parking is $5. Pack in & pack out belongings this means food, water, sunscreen (zinc) & trash. Ideal for picnicking, swimming, sun bathing & overall beauty. It's a short walk down a slightly steep hill if you have anyone in your group who might need assistance walking. Dressing rooms, bathrooms, covered... More

Not too far from KONA airport, approximately 25 minutes. The beach is very attractive. You have great views and can play in the water if you chose. For the physically challenged, there are level walkways and a area suitable for picnicking and groups. The lavatory/changing areas were clean. The beach itself affords you breath taking views. I felt safe. There... More

Great beach, awesome snorkeling and we swam with turtles!! You have to pay to park, but it's worth it. Their are clean bathrooms, showers for rinsing off sand outdoors and lifeguards.

This beach had beautiful white sand & crystal clear water. We did not see a lot of fish, but we saw two turtles swimming around. It costs $5 to enter the beach, but well worth it. Nowhere to order food, so make sure you pack a lunch and drinks. They did have Pavilions with tables so you could resort to some... More

The beach is gorgeous and offered exceptional boogie boarding one day and placid, snorkel waters the next. The restrooms and showers were nice to have prior to the drive home. Kudos to the exceptional lifeguard staff that warned swimmers of rip currents one day.
