Gorgeous beach that was not to crowded. Very clean beach and the water was clear. if you go, bring a cooler with drinks and snacks because you will not find many options. Also, if you want an umbrella, board or chairs, rent them from fellow hanging out on the highway before you turn into Hapuna. Our kids had a great... More

This where to get you beach fix! Not only are these some of the most gorgeous turquoise waters anywhere in the world, but this is also one of the few large beaches on the island.

We don't mind the drive from Kailua. We love this beach. Great to boogie board and lots of beach for all to enjoy. We snorkel by the rock swim lengths in the ocean and play in the surf. We are in Kona every year and always visit this beach.

Hapuna has it all-boarding, snorkeling at south end, or just lay around! $5 fee to get in. Busy on weekends.

I found this to be a perfect beach. Parking and facilities are all close to the beach so it is an easy walk. The water is some of the bluest and clearest I've seen anywhere. The beach seemed to get much busier during spring break week but going early in the morning and leaving early afternoon you can miss most... More

The water is pretty calm and shallow for a bit. The water is pretty warm. We very much enjoyed this beach over many others. The facilities are pretty good as well. A lovely setting for some beach time!

Soft white sand stretches for quite a while, giving everyone room to on the beach. The waves were perfect for boogie boarding today. There were a couple of turtles, a parrot fish and some smaller species hanging out near the rocks. So glad we stopped in!

This beach is quite a gem. It's gorgeous, very family friendly and the waves are perfect for boogie boarding and body surfing. There were 5 of us, ranging in age from 10 to 70, and we all had a blast! We can't wait to go back and recommend it very highly!!

This is such a beautiful beach! We visited twice - stopped once in the late afternoon on our first day on the island (a Sunday), walked on the beach and into the waves, watched the sunset. There were a few large groups playing volleyball, grilling, etc. We went back the next morning after Mauna Kea's lot was already full (9:20-ish)... More

Beautiful, sandy beach with clear turquoise water for swimming. Lovely. Great walking beach. It is probably 1/2 mile long. Next to Hapuna Prince Hotel. This is a great family beach.
