This is a well organised and professionally presented archeological park in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. All of the signs are in both Italian and English and give a clear description of what you are looking at. The etchings are fascinating and the better ones are well worth seeing. We did it as a day trip by train from... More

The National Park of Rock Art in the Naquane area was a lovely place to imagine the thousands of years of constant use by men to express themselves carving on the glacier smoothed stone. The progression of images and, finally, alphabetic markings are quite remarkable. The self guided tour is very detailed and informative. More

At the entrance of the park there is a small museum. Then you'll find a picnic place with playground. The walk on a loop path in the forest is very easy and suitable for families with young children. The path is well marked and you'll find many helpful explanatory panels for the rock incisions created along centuries. More

When describing archeological sites, "beautiful" is not usually the first word that comes to mind. However, it fits here. Because our ancestors did not just engraved depictions of how they hunted deer, fought with spears and how (apparently) well hung they all were: they did so in the most charming, pilates-class-visualization landscape you can think of, a lovely broadleaf forest...
