Worth a look if you're passing.

Lovely little place that surprisingly kept the small ones interested (although I did have to reference Disney princesses in castles).

A welcome surprise in the village. Free to enter. Deep moat. Some information supplied.......could do with more.

Thank you for your review of Nunney Castle. Limited information is provided at the castle by English Heritage, which manages the privately-owned Nunney Castle. More information about the castle's history is usually provided in the church, which hosts 'Nunney in the Middle Ages' and other free heritage exhibitions. Unfortunately, during your recent visit this exhibition was not available as the... More

If you are in the Frome area then you must visit this lovely example of a medieval castle. Set in the middle of the pretty village of Nunney its well worth a visit.

Very unusual to find a caste of "French style" design in the middle of a Somerset village. Worth a short visit.

Went to Nunney to photograph a Guard House and as I was walking back to the car I saw two turrets poking up into the sky so found our way round to it and what an amazing find of 13th Century architecture.

Great little castle, smack bang in the middle of a pretty picturesque little village. Parking is not an issue and there are at least 2 eateries with in 100yrds of the castle. We ate at the George, great food!

I love castles, and this picturesque little castle has its own fish filled moat. I loved 'discovering' Nunney castle peeping out from behind the village houses next to a sweet meandering stream. There are a couple of benches next to the stream next to the low stone wall around the castle. It makes a lovely spot to have a picnic... More

This ruined castle is 'just there'! If you didn't know about it you would drive by. It's a charming, small, moated somewhat intact castle. The village of Nunney is charming too, off the beaten track.

Much recommended. One of my favorite places to stop by. Nunney is a simply beautiful village with so much to see and the castle is a heart of it.
