Friendly gate attendants when you enter the park is only the first plus. The grounds appear well kept and the beach is clean and routinely patrolled. Sandy beach stretches on and on. Water was fairly warm, but there was a lot of algae in the water when we were there.

A group of students and I went to Grand Beach in July 2014.The beach was full of people all the afternoon we went. The water of the Lake Winnipeg was great, with a good weather during the day. Even if the sand wasn't so soft (a lot of pebbles), once we walked in the water there were less pebbles so... More

This is our Favourite beach to go to during a Manitoba Summer. There is two sides to the beach (West and East), The East side is has less people then the West. I recommend that you try the water before you pick your spot for the day as some parts of the beach have a rocky spot and doesn't feel... More

I just went to this place today and it is just wonderful! It is very nice just to sit in the sand and the water is very warm as well. They have a nice boardwalk with lots of shops and concessions available. Amazing place, will be back!

Well now it appears that the beach and the water is just what you need for a holiday, lots of play structures for the kiddies, food and merchandise concessions on the beach weather permitting.

My last visit to this beach was some 40 years ago and I expected many changes but to my surprise things are pretty much the same. A different boardwalk, much nicer than the original and a few more shops along it. The beach is as amazing as always and the water was as good as ever but colder than I... More

Definitely recommend it. It's beautiful and totally worth going. The sand on the beach is hot white and super soft. The staff there is super helpful and friendly. If you are camping make sure you clean up your food and garbage, because of the bears. PS: Our campsite "neighbors" had a bear visit them while having supper because of the... More

This is a gem of a park. Worth the hour drive from Winnipeg. If you go on a warm day expect crowds on the beach. The beach is a wonderful place to just spend time. The white sand beach, surrounding sand dunes and waves from the lake make for a relaxing place to be. The park also contains trails for... More

AMAZING beach with soft, hot, white sand, no rocks in the water on the beach, great water temp on a hot day, you will absolutely not find another beach in north america like this one unless you are at a resort. Good food around to purchase too. Boardwalk there to take a stroll on and buy souvenirs, beach wear, jewellery... More
