My last visit to this beach was some 40 years ago and I expected many changes but to my surprise things are pretty much the same. A different boardwalk, much nicer than the original and a few more shops along it. The beach is as amazing as always and the water was as good as ever but colder than I... More

Definitely recommend it. It's beautiful and totally worth going. The sand on the beach is hot white and super soft. The staff there is super helpful and friendly. If you are camping make sure you clean up your food and garbage, because of the bears. PS: Our campsite "neighbors" had a bear visit them while having supper because of the... More

This is a gem of a park. Worth the hour drive from Winnipeg. If you go on a warm day expect crowds on the beach. The beach is a wonderful place to just spend time. The white sand beach, surrounding sand dunes and waves from the lake make for a relaxing place to be. The park also contains trails for... More

Grand Beach is one of the nicest Beaches in North America. I have been going to Grand Beach since I was Kid. It hasn't change a bit. It still is Heaven On Earth. AMAZING beach with soft, hot, white sand, no rocks in the water on the beach, great water temp on a hot day, you will absolutely not find another beach in north america like this one unless you are at a resort. Good food around to purchase too. Boardwalk there to take a stroll on and buy souvenirs, beach wear, jewellery... More

This beach is 1 hour north of Winnipeg and in my opinion is a must see from late June to the end of August and don't forget Your swim suit ! There are some restaurants a mile from the beach (you'll see them on your way in). There is the West beach that is a more happening beach and where... More

This beach, one of several that populate the south basin of Lake Winnipeg is simply amazing. You can walk out hundreds of feet on smooth sandy bottom to get to waist level in the water. The vista is comparable to a Caribbean beach. To find such a wonderful relaxing beach in a Prairie Province is simply a treat

Not all gorgeous beaches have to be on the ocean as in trip advisors recent ratings. Those of us who know of all the gorgeous beaches in Manitoba especially along lake Winnipeg, including Grand, Lester, Hillside and Victoria beaches know that Trip Advisor doesn't always get it right! Come on guys- move beyond the stereotypical tropical beaches and find a... More

Grand Beach Provincial Park has amazing sandy beaches that will delight the avid sunbather. The water of Lake Winnipeg is a tad cold, but on hot enough day, will feel wonderful. In addition to the beach, the village of Grand Beach (located within the park) has a boardwalk where you can buy clothing, souvenirs, drinks, and food. However, if you... More

OMG Manitoba is so lucky to have this! Winnipeggers are lucky to have this gorgeous place an hour from their city to drive. If you are visiting Winnipeg, this is a MUST SEE. Why spend the day in the busy, high stressful city when you can pack up your bathing suit and get away from it all. The sand here... More
