This medieval monastery was once an educational centre and a gather place of Armenia Royalty and their honourable guests. The cupola of the largest church has undergone an intensive reconstruction thus returning the manastic complex its majestic look of the past...

Loved all the chapels and the feeling of rich history in this religious masterpiece. It is the perfect place to get married, renew wedding vows, and for christenings. With so many great venues for celebrations nearby it's a no brainer. I only wish that the town would clear the snow from the streets better.

Comprising three main buildings that have all been beautifully restored. Still a working church and very busy with visitors

Let me say from the outset that I did not find anything historically or architecturally outstanding about Kecharis monastery in Taghkadzor (which is why this is not a 5-star review).
